Size dosn't matter with monitors. Lotsa people get conned because they get this like 24" monitor real cheap only to find that you need to check the resolution before you buy it. For instance many many many new TVs these days that are like 30" don't go higher then 720i/p which in resolution standards is 1280x720 which ain't to great (its like the old HD) where as my monitor is 24" and goes to 1920x1200. It's pretty O.o Hope that all made sense I'm bad with structuring my sentences and paragraphs.

1680x1050 is just 30pixels less height wize than 1080...

And blueray movies on your computer dosn't mean it can go higher. Many games have much better resolution options then the HD TV and movies standards these days.

i have to agree, but 8500GT can still play most games on low settings. at least an 8600GTS is required if you want to run at higher graphics settings. i have 8500GT and even Halo1 slows down on it a bit!

nVidia rulZ! i think 8500 GT is a pretty good card for its price. it isnt for pro gamers, but for a "sometimes i play" type is a good choice. galaxy edition (GE) is not more expensive, but has some tuning.

but for a few plus bukc u can get the 2600 pro which is faster.. bit its AMD-ATI :(

I have a 8500gt which its about 70bucks. Can run the game on everything high and get about 20-30fps. Sometimes it dips below twenty, but it runs really good for a non expense card. You sir have gotten ripped off for that crappy card at a result of 120 dollars.

True but it costs more. If you want best bang for the buck, ATi is the way to go. If you want an enthusiast based gpu, nvidia's high end gpu's are the way to go (8800GTS 512/8800GTX/ULTRA)

wow i cant belive this ran with my 6600, a very shit processor and 1gb of ram. The graphics were pretty fucked for me (might be because im using wrong drivers :P) but it ran so smooooth. Definatly going to buy this when i get my new system. I only had low FPS when i put on all bots on the large CTF vehical level.

oh, and BTW I can play Bioshock (which runs on Unreal engine 3) with everything maxed out at 1680x1050. Sure the frames per second aren't that great, but it's still very playable.
