I would consider all of them if in your hudband's position. But I understand completely why some men may have reservations about surrogacy and sperm donation.
But I don't know what my male factor fertility is, as of now. Hopefully there are no problems with it.
i think this is a very important and private matter and your husband is making it superficial, a baby is a gift from God and requires a big responsibility!!!
I'm pretty much in the same place as you are, we are young and currently on a break from TTC but we have all ready discussed this topic just to know what each other is comfy with. My partner and myself believe that a child is a child and as long as we get to raise that baby it does not matter what their genetic makeup is. I am blessed to have a partner that is so secure and open to alternative options.
@Tinkerbell81107 Thanks, that's what I figure too...we're not at the point of needed to discuss anything but IUI yet. We're going to do that and then revisit this topic at a later time. But it's something I do think about.
Have you consider doing IVF and ICSI with his sperm?
I have PCOS and have done 4 IVF cycles. I did get pregnant with twins but sadly miscarried at 8.5 weeks. We have thought about surrogacy & also talked about it with my doctor but it is very expensive. I will be doing another ivf next month and we are really considering adoption. I can understand your husband point a view. We've also talked about donor sperm and would consider doing that also. It would be my child regardless where it came from
They told me i needed Donor eggs over 6 years ago... I was too prideful and selfish to do it then..I wanted a bio child or no child... (dummy!...)
Now..i'm 36.. and i am PRAYING that Donor eggs will work for us..
I've lost my pride...all i want is a baby .... and if it can be half of my husbands genes.... I'm SO SO thankful for that!!... It will still be OUR baby..
Your hubby sounds a bit like i did a few years ago... Hes hurting...
@redhenful I think you're right, he is hurting. It's hard. But we'll get there. Thanks for the comment and support :) I hope that the donor egg is the answer for you!
My husband and I are seriously considering adoption whether we are able to have our own or not. It's just something that we feel is important to us. As far as surrogacy goes, I really don't think I could handle it and I know my husband couldn't. We pray it doesn't come down to that though. Good luck to you and your husband! Thanks for your honesty! :)
@320days I don't think everyone could handle surrogacy, it would be hard...on both sides. (being the surrogate and being the one waiting for the baby) I try and be as honest as I can, thanks. :) Adoption is a wonderful thing, and so many kids need good parents, that's awesome you want to adopt one day!!!

Great job! You are such a GREAT fit for 6ww!!
Hubby and I have discussed adoption quite a bit, that is the step we're taking now. As for the other things, they are not options for us.
Once again, great job!
