This tune sounds like a song from a 1955 Telugu movie "Rojulu Marayi" picturized on Waheeda Rehman.This is very nice song but who would have thoght S.D Burman plagiarized the tune 'Eruvaka sagaro ranna chinnanna".Rojulu Marayi was Waheeda Rehman's first movie.

Burman mostly used Folk tunes and this is a fold tume from the northern part of india which is not in 3 parts punjab of pathankot and faridkot himachal pardes and jammu bit part is now in pakistan. if u do not believe than listn the song "hai ni mera baalam by surinder kaur" in punjabi. bloody hell u indian r still have divided mentally that is why we ruled u for 190 years

Burman stole it from telugu movie than i say that telugu movie stole it from punjabi movie "Do Lacchhian". the son i mentioned is from that movie and u can heard same tune in the punjabi movie "Yamla Jatt". it was first movie of Pran in 1948 and the other punjabi movie was in 1951
