watching Cat Steven Live videos makes me very sad that I never saw him in concert. The man was outrageously good live, with a voice quality that almost always has studio quality to it.
You have to understand that at the time he was litterally breaking down, and not for the first time he had already droped out once in the 60s, people at the time said he had a serious drug problem.
I lived near him and grew up loving his songs and am also Greek Orthodoxas he was. I was dissapointed he felt the need to change his religion, but we all fight our demons in our own way, you should also understand for a Greek to convert to Islam is no small thing.
