  • what kind of bars are those?

  • I want to get a velocity stack as well but I've been told that only a mesh screen doesn't protect the engine well enough from dust and such which harms the engine. For how long have you had that stack on? Noticed an issues with the engine?

  • Vinny ...I feel a standard air cleaner will provide better protection, smoother, controlled airflow and a better throttle response. Dust and debris in the air is not really an issue where I Ilive, but I did notice the throttle response was more erratic . I no longer own this bike, but the "bobber" I am creating has an S&S super E carb fitted, with a stack and all of the above applies, fi I cant get this one running properly with the stack, I shall try a compact "conventional" air cleaner !

  • @mikexl1200 Thanks for you answer. I'm really wondering what I should now lol. I found a stack that has an integrated filter but am afraid it won't perform well. Is the response of the engine that bad? :) Decisions decisions...

  • @VinnyTheCuz .. Why not buy & fit the stack you`ve found and see how it performs, in my opinion a velocity stack looks far better than the ridiculious oem "hamcan" filter. You may be lucky and she`ll run fine. If not you could always sell the stack on ebay. Mike.

  • Hey man nice bike! Does your stack has some kind of screen on it?

  • @VinnyTheCuz ......Yes it does, a very fine mesh screen

  • yes, they are drag bars, fitted as standard on this bike !

  • Oh, and I've lowered mine with 10.5 inch shocks, rides like a rigid... Not something I recommend for bad backs!!! But it looks waaay cool.

I'm switching to a rigid frame this spring.

    Perfect Bike.

    Congratulations

  • thankyou for comment !

  • I like your engine guard and highway pegs, they really add comfort on the open highway for the ultimate riding experience. Dang, I love the Harley XL 1200C from 1998 to 2003. Best all around bike ever made but I dig my 06 old school Fatboy too!

  • great looking bike man. i have the same HD and was wondering if you had the back end lowered any? or is it the solo seat that makes it look that low

  • thanks, rear end is stock, no changes !

  • is it possible to back a back seat on that bike? just wondering

  • yes, quick n easy, undo one bolt on solo seat, slp on touring seat, secure one bolt. Then slip on back rest, which secures on two "bobbins". Solo to 2 up less than 5 minutes !

  • Nice bike! 100TH YEAR MODEL?

  • certainly is, with one or two slight changes.

  • You did a great job on it. Ride safe! If you're coming to Milwaukee for the 105th shoot me an e-mail - I can help give you directions/advice.

  • thanks!

  • who makes the bars

  • fitted as standard on this model, so they are harleys own.

  • awesome bike, gonna have mine in march!!can't wait!!

  • hope you enjoy it, check out my other vids, this one goes on a bit !

  • Very cool Sporty. I love these bikes, especially the new Nightster.

  • Ha U got Ur bag where I usta put mine LOL/.

  • any chance of putting bags on one of those? Probably not, huh? Thinking about a sportster but it's gotta take a screen and bags for trips.

  • bags `n screens are very easily availiable, have a chat with your local dealer !

  • Yeah, bags and shields are easy to find and usually affordable. I do suggest Harley accessories but there are aftermarket bags and shields out there that easily fit.

  • nice Harley !!!

  • thanks for comment !
