I've done a lot of stupid things in my life, but driving drunk isn't one of them. It's only fair that I be the only person put at risk due to my stupidity. Risking the life of others is not only stupid, it's criminal negligence at best and downright homicide at worst. I feel for the kid and his family, as a good portion of his life is gone either way, but the ultimate truth is that his decision to drive drunk took the life of another, so he needs to face those consequences.

Its sad that people die but being bitter and angry only causes more suffering. The man lived a long full life and you should celebrate his life instead of being angry over his death. In 5 billion years every piece of humanity will be cooked and destroyed so make the most of your 80 years.
Why do drinking and driving is lethal and can be 2nd degree murder but the hunting industry knowingly created large deer herd for hunting opportunities and knowing damn well human lives will be lost from Deer Vehicle Accidents but they are not held liable. Strange.
Does anyone ever think about Deer Vehicle Accidents and the fact that the hunting industry is creating large deer herd for recreational purpose thus causing deer vehicle accident in the fall which is hunting season?. DVA claims hundreds of lives every year yet strangely for the many years we had hunting DVA's still continues to climb. Please watch the video response if you have been in a Deer Vehicle Accident or has lost a loved one.

He is a good guy and made a mistake that turned out unfortuante. if he was illegal he wouldnt be doing time up here he would be deported.i dont understand why anyone would say that old man was drunk when he wasnt. either way MY friend still has my respect. He hasnt touched alcohol and doesnt want to he is learning from it and doing the time. dont think he doesnt think about it. he has to wake up everyday knowing he took part in killing someone.

I had to swerve out of the left lane on I-65 to avoid being hit head on by a 22 year old brand new engineering grad who had celebrated his graduation and new job by getting drunk, trying to drive home, and getting on the Interstate going the wrong way.
The kid survived the head-on crash he caused 1/2 mile later, unlike the doctor he hit. The skinny kid took a 20 year State prison plea deal to avoid a possible 40 year sentence at trial.
Pray for all those involved. Judgement is not necessary. Tragedy followed with vindictive judgement serves no one. Blame and punishment for this terrible ACCIDENT is not well served by vindictive quickness.
It's eerie how quiet it is in this video. No sound but the engines of the emergency vehicles. And there's nothing left of the driver's side of the white car.
My prayers are with the family of this elderly victim. I hope the driver who caused this pulls through and lives to regret his act.
