A caracal is often called a type of lynx, and with its ears it does bear a resemblance to the small cats of the alpine world, but it's not a true lynx. It's of a different genus altogether.
A bobcat, on the other hand, is a lynx, as it belongs to the same genus as its Canadian cousin.
Caracals aren't rare or endangered. That's why some idiots still hunts them.

@AtarahDerek some people used to call them euroasian lynx.
its really sad we had alot of them in my country but now thier is a few because of because of war.
