I literally peed my pants! This is sooo awesome! Got goosebumps just thinking about it! I love this series! Griffith is my favorite character of all time. He's so freaking complex and just a great original unique character all around. then you have Gatts who is not so somplex and is simple with a great story. Both character are great and polar opposites and too original and realisitc to not like. Then you have have all the amazing more minor characters. Then you have all the fucked up stuff in berserk inbetween.
@SkyExplosion i fucking hate griffith for what he done to casca, funny thing is before that he was my favourite character also, as it got closer towards the eclipse i had a feeling griffith was gonna turn evil but not to the extend in which he did, which left me really really angry at him haha

Mainly because they try hard as hell to desenitize you to it especially if you read the manga they play up sympathy for Griffith and add in Caska being nearly raped two more times and other girls being raped to desenitize you to it. Although Griffith is complex and since he came back he's more of a eh "saviour" for lack of a better word.
@SkyExplosion i did have simpathy for griffith before he done what he done to caska, after all he was tortured for a year, and looking at it that way, u could say by the time they found him he allready lost his sanity but still, to say i dont care about what happened to caska, is almost as sick as the act itself i my eyes
@ArthasXfrost Because he was born low class and before the Eclipse, he worked his way into the courts of the kingdom with his band of Mercenaries, which were pretty much considered nothing but dirt under a nobleman's shoe due to their class in society. To further his goal he killed, prostituted himself for funds, and eventually betrayed his closest comrades all for the road to the throne. He is a true but sorrowful man with a blood stained path.

he burned his wings and becuz hes too weak to do things on his own he makes a deal with the devil to reclaim his wings and something more but in doing so he sacrifices many lives

Everything he worked for, the bodies that paved his rode would have been lost for nothing. Think about it really, what would you have done were you in his place?

Personally, I don't know what I would have done if I had been in Griffiths' place. I don't think I would have been strong enough to even make it past their first battles, but that's just me.
And no, I'm not justifying it. I'm defending his character.. because despite how cruel he is, he's suffered so much. All of them have. Also I typo-ed Road in the last comment..
@ArthasXfrost The difference between the two words is simple. Defending is standing up for, and justifying is saying it was okay. Here's a short definition of both;
Defend: To support (an argument, theory, etc.) in the face of criticism.
Justify: To show (an act, claim, statement, etc.) to be just or right.
I haven't justified Griffiths' actions, I've only given explanations as to why he'd do such.
Besides, if Griffith didn't do what he did, there would be no more story to read.

I've contemplated it and the only outcome I could ever see was dragging myself to the edge of the hand and throwing myself off... dramatic yes, buuuut either way for me there is no right answer because on one side, I could never take betraying my friends, but I don't think i could accept laying back..
Also don't take this argument to seriously.. It's been rather fun since no one ever talks with me about Berserk. x3
this video shows us that it will go farther then the Eclipse and also be before it. Really like the art style, looks great, and it looks like the action scenes will be detailed and will hopefully be up to par with the hellsing ovas (and with GORE).

including the fact right after he attains power he uses it to abuse the weak (raping caska in front of gatt's eyes)
