@ResidentSamurai well yes like crysis 2,batman Arkham asylum, but you don't really see the physx that much check out this site and you'll see nvidia.com/object/physx_new.html
Some ATI card can run the physx great. I have 2 cards 8800 GTX, and one dedicated to PHYSX. But my FPS is dropping from 75 constant ( Unlocked fps limit in the config file! ), to 5 fps. Whats that all about? Is there no SLI profile yet? Its no good when this stuff doesnt work.
Physx is just a marketing scheme employed by nVidia. Sure, there are some differences, but they come at a high cost of performance, for most users, and only add a few sparks and pieces that fall or break more realisticaly. Imo it's not worth buying an overpriced nVidia card just because of physx. AMD cards offer a hell-of-alot better deal, considering that their cards offer either the same, or better performance, 20-30% percent cheaper, when talking about same tier cards.
ATI has been bought by AMD. You talk about graphics cards, but you haven't properly done your homework on the matter. I've had nVidia cards up until recently, and AMD cards are a much better deal.
@slapsus give it 2 months and you'll be back here saying sorry to me, ATI = terrible support and the reliability is fucking disgusting, id rather buy a more expensive Nvidia card with some nice support and reliability than a polished piece of shit that crashes every day
Have you ever had an AMD card?... I don't know for sure how ATI was before being acquired by AMD, but I've had no issues, whatsoever, neither with drivers or support. I've had a few issues with nVidia drivers, like being unable to properly uninstall physx or manually installing drivers because they just kept reinstalling all by themselves. And compare 6970 with 580: overall, roughly same performance - stock cards. Gigabyte trifan OC 6970 = 326 euro, ASUS 580 stock = 468E
this awesome vid is too short

anyone know if a corsair tx650w would be enough to power a 570gtx and a gts250 for physx?

@TheSense13 7 games is hardly plenty.
Are there any aside from Alice that PhysX actually adds much aside from a drop in frame rate?

@TheSense13 If you directed me to an independent site with some side-by-side comparisons then maybe I'd care.
But you didn't.

my mates 8800 blew up
my medieval dx8 ati 128mb card is still going strong, my dad still uses my old p4
my 8800 scores higher in benches than my 5770, but the 8800 gets murked in modern real life gaming scenarios
both manufacturers are a class act
you should diss the likes of intel for graphics solutions not amd or nvidia
