i love the music, graphics, gameplay, etc. . . and the game pushed the c64 to the limits! and i remember it used cool-ass huge game sprites that weren't commonly done on a c64!
In the orginal version the bass under the speech at the beginning directly flow into the title music. Shame the crackers did not pay attention on keeping this detail.
The graphic was not so big, but very cool ... this gamefeeling is lost ... the era of the epicstuff is maybe over ... but these day were full of fanfuckintastic gaming diamonds man!
WTF - How could I never have heard the C64 version of this music before? Well, I just had an Amiga and an ST. But this is also great stuff! And the speech samples are just amazing, considering the limited memory of this hardware!
Man! i stil remember the stupid face my cousin had, when I showed him this intro. He had the Amiga Version and i told him that on the c64 Turrican spoke to you... He was shocked :).
Rainbow Arts made three of my fav games on the C64, Turrican, Turrican 2 and X-Out. At the time the graphics were brillant and ground breaking for the C64. I managed to clock all three games so well chuffed. I pretty sure the guy behind it all was a chap called Manfred , but don't quote me on this. It's a great shame I cannot get hold of these games to play on the new machines, along with such titles like Speedball 2, Bubble Bobble etc! Do miss these games. Good old days.
@BeatsBass1 Bubble bobble is available on xbox live, i think speedball 2 used to be. Your right tho classic games from the 8bits should be licensed for download on the ps3 and xbox360. I think but not sure that some c64 games are readily available on the Wii.
I loved this track so much, I listened to it everytime before playing when I was a little boy haha. I just woke up today and I had this song in my brain LOL idk why xD I was thinking "damn wich song was it?!" and now I remember and searched on youtube and found this xD Good old memories. Commodore ftw

Yes, that was fun. As a child I let the sound minutes long run. Too good. 1 Year ago I played through it with the c64-emulator.
In game Turrican looks like Fireball from "Saber Rider".
Thanks from Germany, I love it!
