  • Thanks for the video I was looking at that model and well not anymore sorry for your loss it takes 1 bad apple i guess thank god I watched this vid

  • Duh!! You didn't lock the door. Maybe Moultrie is speechless....

  • Looks like you mounted it with small screws. I could pull it off that Damn tree. LOL

  • It might also help to mount to a tree that someone can't cut through with a pocket saw in like 2 minutes...

  • did this video end up showing the company your problem and get a resolution or at least a replacement?

  • What a joke! There is no way everyone at the Moultrie factory doesn't know that thing is trash.

  • If this video refers to anything from Moultrie, Georgia.....then IT's A SCAM for sure...

Moultrie <---------ONE of the THREE most CORRUPT COUNTIES in Georgia....!!!!

  • i had this problem and what i did i put another cam up in tree where they could not see and i caught them red handed.

  • Helps me!!

  • That sucks, Thanks for the heads up .

  • Wow I'll never buy that crap. Thanks for the video. I think I'll engineer my security boxs. What a hunk of shit.

  • Did they reimburse you for your cameras I would have there ass's in court over that.

  • Thanks for your post. I think what moultrie should do is to put a password in the software in order to use the camera you need to enter a password or it shuts down

  • As thin as that crap is you can just cut it with a good pair of tin snips. Why I make all my own boxes out of 1/4 inch thick metal.

  • Moultrie should send you replacement cameras. Seriously try calling them instead of emailing them. I have never gotten a return email from them EVER.

Sorry your stuff got stolen. It was probably someone who didn't want their photo taken showing that they are trespassing. Hopefully you password protect your cameras making them useless for the thief.

  • that sucks.....I got an off brand for my d40

  • MOULTRIE should get you some new units in the mail..... What a rip off with this secutity system.... I know how you feel. I have had a few cams missing over the years...

GOOD LUCK.... Would'nt you just love to catch someone in the act?

  • try trail lock by schippersco! great product!

  • That is horse shit!

  • Great work

  • That sucks.. I use the CAMLOCK box for my trophy cams and they work well. I noticed a little bit of play when i first hooked it up but got a lock that was as thick as would fit through the hole to help cut down on slack.

  • that sucks

  • That's terrible and the box looks flimsy, but thanks for sharing. I've been using CAMLOCKbox and like it. No problems in nearly 2 years, but it is in a low traffic area and have it bolted to a big tree. Sounds like your area has some real ****heads traveling through it who may destroy anything.

  • It does not suprise me. Moutrie's customer service sucks.

  • at least it wasnt a cuddeback camera that was over $200

  • so if you were to drill 2 pilot holes through the top and side, run a cable through them and around the tree, or possibly run a lock through the holes or something, you don't think that could work? I'm pretty sure there would be a way somehow you could theft proof your camera box...that pretty crappy someone would do that though. makes me nervous. i have a new moultrie 6.0 and I was gonna consider this same box...but I'm not sure now

  • Well of course there are many other additional add-ons someone could do to the box. The whole issue is you don't really think about those when you Buy a SECURITY BOX! unfortunately those thoughts only come after you relize its a P.O.S.

  • Yes, thanks for making us (the public) aware of this. You saved us money. I hope Moultrie makes you whole on it.

  • Sad!! ok for bears i gess! good video guys!

  • No Problem!!! I hope it helps others!

  • THANK YOU for posting this video.

  • Another hint besides camo tape, is hang it on a tree that's wider than the box so the outline isn't seen as easy. I bought a aftermarket security bracket on eBay for $30, so far so good. Bummer dude.

  • buy the HCO scoutgurad 550 and the bear proof box ($30). Awesome. BEEFY!! Would have to cut the tree down

  • Yeh i thougth about buying one but then i looked at it and said well shit i could build one for less then that. So I did I made it out of 1/4" X 2" flat bar and it works great.I'll post a video of it later.

  • THANK YOU !!!!!

I almost think about buying one ! lol a good camouflage is better :)

  • This moultire security box was field tested in China by a pet panda named ding ding

what a peice of Chinese sh**

  • This is bull$hit!!! I'll bet you bought this $hit at Cabelas. Moultrie and Cabelas owe you a couple cameras. Pieces of corporate S#@$!!!

  • Moultrie owes you some cameras. I hope they will take this opportunity to fix the flaw in their security boxes.
