U.S. has used the humanitarian aid trick to take out countries in the past, it's not a new tactic.

If a takeover occurs, it will be in the form of "humanitarian aid" or some other similar passive means. The only REAL (unthwarted) attack I can see plausible on the united states is, like I mentioned, an EMP attack from which nobody will claim responsibility, or possibly a frame up for north korea or iran. The hype is there already

Why in the world would they want to invade the US militarily when economically works just as well ? They sell us cheap stuff making a profit, they then buy U.S. Treasuries which takes more money out of our system into theirs. They have India to worry about more.

As has been mentioned, what kind of logistics would it take to mobilize, deploy, and maintain that size of an army.

With all the food strife and supply concerns due to weather, disasters and economic woes, more and more people are having to deal with less and less food supplies.

This alone should point to myriad plausible contingencies for a physical presence "to ensure the safety & quality of shipment" of course.

Mainly outside of the Asian countries of course yet as more & more Asian countries our becoming ever more westernized, grain based foods are more of a staple even there now than it ever has been.

Seeing as most of our exports grown are grains... it's an easy parallel.

Someone pops an EMP weapon over the u.s. then China comes in to offer "aid" and turns container ships to troop carriers. A year or so later you have 10 million Chinese or more all up and down the west coast with more on the way. That is just situation in which they could land with no resistance.

There are many ways and some good historical facts on how countries in debt to other countries have lost land to the debt holders. Read some history for example. I am not saying it is going to happen just that it is possible. Don't close your mind to possibilities.

EMP is a widely discussed tactic, because we rely heavily on electronics, so it would be the only way to decapitate a pig like the united states. I think the term "overused" regarding to emp is grossly ignorant. I'd argue that if a Western nation is nuked, it will be emp, not thermo. Considering the likelyhood of emp over thermo, I'd say emp deserves MUCH more discussion than it gets.

If its been thought of expect a countermeasure like emp proofing priority installations (emp is not be all end all). Also the area you would have to cover with an emp is not practical enough for a terrorist attack (if you ever manage to sneek a nuke into the country lol) and if its a ballistic attack expect nukes from every sub and silo heading your way "MAD" scenario which nullifies that.

I tell you that one nuke tuned for optimum mid-spectrum emp yeild could literally destroy the entire united states. 2 could easily cover north america. Secondly, you don't need to sneak it into the country. The most likely scenario discussed by analysts is loading a nuke onto a shipping container destined for U.S. and launching it in proximity. U.S. can't launch counter nukes if the enemy is unknown.
