  • waiting to buy mine right now. had a gsxr 600 and hated touring on it. wanted an r1 but i've read that the zx14 is a great tourer stock, and can be modded to become as good as any VFR, concourse etc. i'm truly jealous mr. neil..

  • @marshie1337 I waited two years before buying the bike, and believe me they were the longest two years i've ever known! I had also considered the concourse but the ZX14 was the one that put a huge grin on my face and still does every time i take it out....

    Cheers

ps Just remember to treat the bike with respect and enjoy it to the full!

  • I pick mine up next week, black/ grey. Can't wait

  • i have a zx9r and i can`t wait to get my first zzr1400 love her

  • @MrHarleydkc I know what you are going through, but It will be well worth the wait, I know I waited 2 years to buy mine!

    Have fun

  • Hi mate, great bike! I am 27 and I owned a ZX-6R in the last 2 years (rode about 10000 km), do you think I can consider myself ready for the ZX14?

    Great ride!

  • @SilentHunter84 I'm no expert, i bought the bike because it was love at first sight and new the bike was for me! Takes a while to gel with the bike though! As my bike instructor told me many years ago " Treat the bike like a fine lady on a first date and you won't go far wrong. Treat the bike like a slapper on a one night stand and it will throw you off!" Never forgot that and so far has kept me in one piece...

    Neil

  • @SilentHunter84 no!!! its way faster than your 6..man it will blow you away it does 0-100mph in 5..i had a race with a 6 who thought it was fast until saw what power the 14 has trust me it will scare the pants off you..just had my 9000 service it is as fast as f**k took my friend on it & he screamed his head off...the 14 is fast very fast...try it....before you even let the cluch out its doing 20mph

  • Had mine about a week astounding bike.

  • I'm waiting for the guy I'm buying my first zx14 from and I can't wait for that feeling

  • @ALR1000 It's well worth the wait, just remember to treat the bike like you would a fine lady on a first date and it will look after you! Have fun and ride safe......

    Cheers

  • You can't beet picking up a new bike. Bought my latest bike in January there but got it delivered from Glasgow to Ayrshire because of the weather, so didn't quite get the buzz of riding of from the dealer which was a pity. Love the colour and seat cowl, haven't seen that before. Ride safe, Craig

  • @27craigbrown Waited two years for this bike and still remember the day well, just a great feeling riding a new bike from the dealer!

    Cheers

  • nice video,,,,,,,,,,,top bike,,,,,,,,,,I'd rather have heard the engine though.

  • @duckgeezer Thanks, I wish i could record the engine noise but i have not found a suitable method of reducing the wind noise! If you know of a set-up which works, please forward the info.....

    Cheers

  • Very nice bike!!

I own one ZZR1400, model 2007, diablo black.

I ride it almost every day.

It is fine everywhere (city, national roads, tracks).

I have A-tre & Power Commander III usb for extra power in low revs.

I'm thinking of buying 2 Acrapovic titanium for better sound.

I wish you nice riding and many km without problems

  • @n3534 Thanks, most owners change the exhausts, maybe get round to that myself in the near future?

    ride safe

    Neil

  • @n3534 hi I had the tre but took it off and removed the secondarie plates huge difference well worth it so if you like the tre you'll love the plate removal also there is a map for power commander to do that

  • Hey you drive in the wrong side of the road...., what the .... :) cool bike and yes busa is a great machine too, but I hav'nt seen any reviews where the busa is the best - yet. I would also prefer the kawa any day. + two brothers exhaust, mean sound that kill stupid bird-busa-bike. Thumbs up.

  • Been thinking about the two brothers exhaust myself, sounds great!

    cheers

    Neil

  • Nice bike man!

  • I think so too... and it's a great bike to ride, always puts a smile on my face.

    Cheers

    Neil

  • nice bike . what about the driving position ? not too radical ?

  • I am used to an upright riding position, and for me the ZZR is very comfy. No weight on my wrists, can ride for hours at a time. Great!

    Cheers

    Neil

  • that's what i wanted to know; thanks for the response .

    ;)

  • Very nice bike my friend. I hope you enjoy is as much as you can!

  • Thanks, I intend to get out on the bike as often as i can this year. It is a dream bike to ride - very smooth and quick!

    Neil

  • what made you choose this bike, why didnt you buy a hayabusa?

  • I liked the looks of the ZZR and I have the added bonus of no weight on my wrists when riding the bike.

To be perfectly honest there wasn't much in it, they are both good machines!

  • the zzr is better looking, better riding position and can keep up with the busa. What more can you ask for?

  • Happy new bike Neil. Hope we get some better weather soon so you can go out to play.

  • Thanks, looking forward to playing next year!

The bike should be run-in by then..

  • Hi Neil

    Neil

  • Have you kept the Pan ?

  • Yes Nigel I still have the Pan, It is a great bike. I have liked the look of the ZZR1400 since its launch. It has always had great reviews and now I have two of the best!
