We need to stop dancing around about taxes and scrap the current tax system. The tax code is too complicated There is no reason for it to be so complicated. Tax me 10%, no deductions, leave me alone. Or scrap the income tax altogether and make it a fair flat rate sales tax so people who deal in cash will pay their fair share of taxes too.

250k @ (Current tax rate = 35%) = 88k

With Obama @ 39% = 98k

This means you pay 10k more. Not exactly a cause to fire someone, lower productivity and lose hundreds of thousands in contracts. There has always been different tax brackets for different levels of income This is not socialism., just a new way of restructuring the tax brackets. Socialism my foot!

most ppl only make 8-16k a year, and when u consider..ok his business makes 250k a year which he then spends X amount on supplies and all that, then he spends X amount per employee (the 8-16k more or less) in the end after all that who says ur profits are gonna be worth keeping it, if ur profits are 20k in the end why bother doing the extra work for so little more? also besides the tax plan, there also the health plan which will dip farther into profit

Think Obama's tax increases won't apply to you? Think again & do the math. No way just the so called 'rich' can pay for all of those government programs. YOU are rich if you're working and YOU WILL PAY. Socialism does not come for free. When the rich are paying 50-60%, the middle class will be paying 40-50%.
