This isn't as big of a band so they don't get a lot of the equipment that bigger bands get. Equipment and where you're playing makes a HUGE difference. They're all hitting their marks about perfectly. You'd be surprised what old mudvayne and slipknot sounds like in demo days, like ass, but the talent is there. I guess that's why they got a record deal :)

Ironcily, they probably use the same equipment and quality guitars as bands playing arenas. Any GOOD band worth its weight knows it is totally worth going broke for quality equipment. I blame house PA and trying to get a cheap PA guy on bad sound. But I have seen some real underground bands playing $4000 basses and guitars, and $10,000 drum kits. But agreed, everyone sounds like ass until famous.
