aaah how nice to have your love ones all around you. Beverly Sills was a beautiful Lady with a beautiful voice. It doesn't get any better than that.

I never enjoyed or appreciated opera or classical music until one day I heard "Bubbles" sing and she hooked me. I have loved it ever since and I am so glad for Youtube: though this wonderful lady is gone, she lives on in these videos and in our memories. One thing about Beverly: she was more than a voice.

I was at Beverly's farewell performance in October, 1980; I won my tickets in a raffle held by the NYC Opera Guild. It was a wonderful, poignant evening, saying goodbye to this wonderful singer. This post brings back all my delightful memories of her; thanks for posting it!

I never tire of listening to this amazing singer. Sills was my introduction to opera (Barber of Seville) back in the 70s. I have much to thank her for in my music career. A true inspiration. I truly miss her.
