dude i would buy this guitar but im scared to death of the floyd rose it seems to be a lot of work. like if you change the string gauge you have to fuck around with it and all that.

@vahag914 Its ALOT EASIER...they always break right at the hole in the bridge where it locks down..you just unroll a bit off the tuning peg, stick it in and tune it , then lock the top down...Much faster that putting a normal string on...Now putting strings on takes longer but after they are set...they are the best for staying in tune...good luck

@Endofshadow i depends waht you want it for the SOB is great for rythm guitar playing because i has onlyone humbucker but the trace has 2 so ots better for solos too also the trce has an ebony fingerboard wich is easier to clean and is more durable and smooth than the sob wich has rosewood wich is greasy an soft so scratchingis easy.overall the trace isbetter especialy if you get thre trace t wich has a floyd rose!!

@MKvsdctester2 Depends on what you want but since I can't imagine someone getting this guitar for anything other than metal, EMG's no contest. Though the stock bc rich pickups are surprisingly good. I can't think of many pickups that you could upgrade to without spending half what the guitar itself is worth.

@MKvsdctester2 There's a lot of potential reasons it could be going out of tune. it could be something simple though like the locking nut needs tightened. Or the strings could be new and they are just still stretching. It also could be the spring tension needs adjusted, especially if you're trying to change the tuning. Also since it's a floating trem there's kind of trick to tuning it to keep the string tension level. Your best choice is to take it in and get it a professional setup though.

For everybody that thinks this is a metal guitar, you're wrong...

B.C Rich is a brand that focusses on the "heavy" sound, with almost no decent clean.

A proper (metal) guitar should have a nice warm clean sound, so you still have some warmth in the metal riffs, like let's say a Gibson LP (cliché I know...) or even an Epiphone LP, SG, Flying V or Explorer.

Even the flying V still has a warm tone bacause a lot of Blues players use the Epiphone flying V.

That's just my opionon, nice playing tho...

I use DR Tite fit strings. Guage 11-50 i use those on every guitar i have. the vypyr just have more of a "pre-amp tube" kinda sound to it. and thanks man, it means alot! hope i helped :)

yea dude!! also, ive noticed u switching effects on the amp, id say, you should look into the pedal for the amp, so u can switch on the fly, though it is 80 bucks at guitar center, or where i got it it was, but and theres also a 180 dollar one, but if u get the pedal, u get a built in wah pedal, it realy cool, so yea, u should look into that, if u havent already ^_^ peace out!
