u know i actually was 15 years old at the time that this aired may 3rd....it was a sunny friday and i remember the day too lol......at first i thought that JR was really dead but later in 1998 THE EWING WAR...made me relief that he wasnt....ur the best thnx 4 uploading

Todays series really miss the drama, the intrigues and the tension Dallas had! We would need more classic series today like Alf, Full House etc, but all we have today is shit like Jersey Shore. -.-

Not really, they tried to revive tv shows from the past and they have failed to recapture the charm, the talent and spirit of the original.

Look at Knight Rider, they failed, that continuation was no better than the lame jersey shore.

@TaylorXCat True, and the reason for that is: Up until the early 90s TV shows were competing with who could be the most melodramtic and over the top. Big dramatic set pieces, overbearing soundtracks, cliffhangers galore. Even the early episodes of Neighbours were like that. Then some idiot somewhere said "Let's strip all that stuff away and just leave what is at the core". Hence the blandness of every show on TV today. And the reason I no longer watch TV.

I never saw this show but with the new one showing soon i wanted to see how this one ended.  I would have been pissed to hell if I had put in what 14 years of watching to have the entire thing end like this. WTF was that about you dont know if he died or what?

I thought at first JR did kill himself, but then if he was on the Dallas reunion movies, then it means that JR shot the mirror. Yeah, the glass breaking noise should've been heard, or implied that JR fell into the mirror. That was a good one...Was JR Shot?

Though Dallas lost me after the dream season I stuck with the series and Tele-movies. What is interesting when I watch these final episodes is my memories sitting with my grandmother watching them as my local TV station stopped screening Dallas. She lived in an area where her local TV station still screened it and she would tape them for me. She was the first I knew who purchased a video recorder as they were so expensive. Times have changed.

JR discovers Digger was his father and not Jock.

Pam and Bobby reunited and drive off into the sunset .

JR discovers Lucy is his daughter.

What did we get.........a suicide cliffhanger we had to wait 5 yrs for. It wasn't the worst finale, but could've had more done to it in a better way.

When I was a kid and seeing this scene I was the only one from the family who liked JR and the only one who said that he didn't die and that he shot the mirror! LOL. Then "JR Returns" appeared and I was right!

You could see from his smile that he had no intention to shoot himself at the end! Only JR could shoot the devil!

In the film when he came back to Dallas,... he came back in style!

I've Remembered this scene for Years ever since my Childhood. I Remember those Glancing Red Eyes & that Devil Shouting "Do it".

There were lots of things from the Past that were like this; in the sense it was avant-Garde, unauthodox or Adult Horror. And yet they were meant to be Children's Programs!

Return to OZ, Watership Down, Jaws, & this Dr Who Story Called "The Sea Devils" Scared me SO much, that to this Day I cannot watch it alone! Now it's all just Boring CGI & Young Actors. Yawn!
