@olegplottrot Remember the fact the Jack has shields and biotic barrier skill. No matter how fast of a quick draw Marston has, it won't penetrate. All jack has to do is slap him with a pull and pump a shotgun round into him and its game over. It's a battle of technology and Marston is about 2 millennium behind in the times.

@olegplottrot May I remind you that the shotgun Marston has is black power and even if its slug, it wont penetrate. Kinetic barriers can take a rocket round and still have half power. The shotgun that Jack has is Mass Accelerated with means high velocity and greater speed and Marston wouldn't be able to get the jump on Jack because she is paranoid as hell. There is a difference between love of a character and cold hard logic and I have proven time and time again that Jack would win a 1v1.

With a difference of hundreds of years, technology makes all the difference. I am not saying John is a worse character, I am saying that he won't win in a fight. That is the same thing as saying John would be Master Chief, no matter who you like more.... it isn't happening (shields and powers are the name of the game).

@olegplottrot First off, Jack was held captive and trained as a child... enormous skill, and second, Marston would have to unload a full pistol round into Jack before even maybe breaking her shields, then all she would have to do is use some biotic power and shoot him. I'm not saying Marston isn't a good and strong character.... just use your head. If the guns of Mass Effect (around 2200) take several shots (even clips) to destroy shields and armor (a lot of the time having an ammo upgrade), what makes you think that the guns of the early 1900s are going to do anything.... and the response I will probably receive is "becasue John Marston is holding them."

@ninjaman690 that would be overkill for Chief because hes got a full set of (stronger than titanium) armor and shields and even when his shields are depleted a .45 caliber pistol doesnt take him out in 3 hits. Also his weapons are full auto, rocket launchers, high caliber .50 cal snipers, etc... Also he was raised at 7 years old to do 1 thing: kick ass. John is a great fighter and all but cant match up to Chief.
