i buried my sks for two hours on mud pine needles and all sorts of shit with the bolt open dug it up and had no trouble unloading the mag pine needles and all so i think the sks will hold its own vs the ak just my opinion

ok...she does have bad stance for shooting the SKS,..but she seems to handle the recoil well and looks like she is having fun,...AFTER firing 10 rounds (most that SKS can hold unless modified!)...at the end...loved the bayonet charge and yell...LMAO!

@ionewolf379th - The standard SKS stock (lenth of pull) is WAY short. It seems like novice female shooters just tend to lean back; she needs better instruction. @ first I thought prehaps they were trying to avoid felt recoil in their chest, but they do it with pistols too.

be a good friend and do not let her continue to shoot in that stance, its dangerous. She could easily shoot herself in the foot. An obvious n00b running around with a rifle like that is not cool either, I would not be trusting her to have cleared the weapon before playing silly with it. I suspect it is due to the length of the stock rather than the weight, I have seen some world class female clay shooters but that is with custom made shotguns. Having held but not shot one of their guns it weighs pretty much the same but the stock is just a few inches shorter.

That seems to move the centre of gravity far enough back for the comparatively shorter arms to hold it properly. I know it ain't fair that women are on average shorter (and proportionally shorter arms) but that's biology.

@dwrussell2 i've found the SKS and the AK to be about the same @ 100 yards, if you know what you're doing the AK is actually, decently accurate, just as accurate as the SKS, in my experience anyhow

@njkrmt It actually ADDS to the recoil. Its because they try and stand too strait forward. All they have to do is turn a little. People generally dont stand sideways to where they are looking, so its hard for people who dont shoot to stand properly.
