  • My ppl

  • My Mi'kmaq heritage started around New Found Land, and my mum and my family have grown up in England. We're all very keen to trace our family tree, but it's quite difficult.

  • I Only learned this year my Great Grand Mother was Mi'kmaq.

My Family left Newfoundland before I was 5 and got to Ft Mc Murray a couple years later.

    Bless you all.

  • i want to learn Mi'kmaq ! Waiting for my girlfriend to teach me but she gets distracted haha. Can someone teach me? ((: id really appriciate it

  • This looks absolutely fascinating. But I wish I could understand what he's saying! Could you translate it and put the words on the video?

  • I would love to find my Mi'kmaq ancestors on my fathers side from Quebec!

  • Wen tu keel?

This language's great. I can't believe those assholes hoisted English --a crap, hybrid language at best -- on everybody in this continent instead. even if I am white, I'd gladly speak micmac instead.

  • I wish I knew my Language it's sounds very beautiful, I was born and raised in Chicago lost in the system. My Grandmothers name is Marie Bernard sister of Chief Stevon Bernard who we just called uncle Stevie. Peace and Blessings to all my family prahaps one day I can see and fell where I come from.

  • @MrTugzy ...I ment feel wher I come from, oops

  • @MrTugzy I hope you find your way home soon

  • beautiful to sit and listen to the language of my Ancestors :)

  • yo son that shit was mad deep.. to depa who cares if you know every word he said.. what do you gain from bragging about that on the interenet.

  • @eataphat who said i was bragging? i just said that i understand my language really good.... and i bet you can't even transulate this

  • i said you were bragging. it doesn't take a genius to recognize when a person is boasting, clearly. and wagering that i can't "translate" what was said accomplishes what exactly? grow up.

  • pft w/e man at least i can say i understand my own lauguage

  • I think knowing your own language is something to brag about, especially a language from a group of people who were intended to be killed off. Clearly eataphat has some feelings about not knowing his own language, I feel you, I have feelings about it to, but its real lame to hate on someone who knows there language and is proud of it.

  • it's not considered hate when you're merely pointing out the obvious. maybe you don't quite understand the context in which i am speaking in. furthermore, how did you come to the conclusion that i'm unable to understand or speak my own language which is english? now that is lame. think before you type. since I cannot express my distaste for people that like to brag without using profanity I'll leave you with a quote: He who is humble is confident and wise. He who brags is insecure and lacking.

  • hahahahaha daum man i understood everyword that this guy is saying he is telling of how we came to where we are today and some of our old teachings, but it takes a true mi'kmaq to understand this, thnx mom and dad for teaching me the micmaw language:)

  • Thats he whole reason I put out this information on our culture.. is to get people realize we have history in medicine, songs, dance, hunting, war, trade, we names things for a reason.. thanks for the comments.. I hope help someone to learn their language.. Joel

  • @welaliek man someone should try to make a program or something to teach ppl mi'kmaq like mi'kmaq online or something thats would be awesome

  • Etaphat, something is wrong with you, you are filled with hate, and just by your reply to the previous posts I can tell you are an absolute hater and totally lame. I did think before I wrote and I am thinking as I write these words. I don't live my life by quotes, maybe thats your problem.

  • @depa01325 Ethnocentric attitudes such as this is what feeds ignorance and discrimination. Shame on you.

  • Though I don't understand the words, I can feel them and they soothe my insides. Wel'alin.

  • Imagine, we have to read english every day.Just the same we have to speak it.. there are sites that teach you to speak.. Lnu

  • I sure wish this was either in English or that I Understood Lnu!
