@hardyboyzrko It depends what it is. Now, I did get an Antique Bank which is cast iron for $5.00. The characters are famous from the 50's and I would have bough more if I had the money. I saw them go between $25.00-50. at antique stores, but if you have something that was rare than it's higher. The sellers needed to get rid of everything because their Dad just died and they were cleaning out his house. My friend, Audrey, who had her own antique business has great knowledge of furniture.
So what your saying is, hypothetical. You rock up to a Garage Sale and see a rare Stamp collection, it was the Sellers Father who is deceased, the Seller is very poor and needs to sell all. You see 3 rare Stamps you know could fetch up to $200,000, the Seller wants $30 for the lot.
Do you let them know they have something very valuable and rare or pay the $30 and leave ????? I know what my answer would be !
OMG I cant believe you bought maple trees. I must have hundreds of them actually maybe thousands. But anyways i must admit i love yard sales myself and i think the hair idea is awesome.
Since i have red hair i should do that since its kinda rareish{is that a word}.
Thanks Owen! I had a beautiful Japanese Maple tree when I had my pond. They couldn't save it, however, when they excavated for the inground pool. I am really sick over that. I could buy a bigger one, but I spent too much already and I still need to finish the patio with grit and top soil.
My friend did that with his hair. He's paralyzed and grew his dark hair really long and donated it. My hair grows fast so I think it is a good idea. I will touch up my roots! Probably today!
Great Video. I finally stopped going to Yard Sales a couple of years ago because I ran out of room! I have a hard time getting rid of all the bargains I find!! My mom and I used to go to antique shops all the time when I was a kid. It was definitely fun. Good mother/son activity!
It really is good activity. He loves antique stores too. The stores are so awesome and he loves the old toys (old army men.) I like this one guy who has a big barn of antiques. He isn't always open however. I also have a small sports car so I can't get anything too big. However, I bought this awesome 1800's nursing rocking chair (without the arms of course) for $30.00. I can't go to Wal-Mart and buy a new piece of crap furniture for that. I love it!
i love yardsales but iave not gone in years we have a small house so i have held back but we're moving so hopefuly back to yard saling lol! GOOD VIDEO NICE EDITING WOW!
Oh, I will have to make a vid on my 1800's nursing rocking chair. It is beautiful. I bought it about 2 yrs ago. It doesn't have the arms of course. It was only $30.00. If I had a bigger place I would have my Dad's cradle displayed too. I would love to buy the old carriages and old dolls. Now, I am itching to go to an antique store or barn. I really am not into clothes shopping, lol!
im moving to a house thats like twicwe the size of my current home nothing spectacular but im excited...any way i have to find stuff to make it homey you know lol!
I wish you and your family happiness in your new home! It sounds like you are excited! That's great! I like to think of cheap ideas that look cute because I am on a budget of course.
my mom does the yard sale stuff..i use to go on saturdays and find stuff worth more for cheap..and then resale them at the flea market Sunday and make profit.
Yes, people sell stuff so cheap. Sometimes they are really good. I found one accidentally last year and these people had brand new, designer clothes. It was awesome.
I love the old fashioned bottles, they look great on shelves at kitchen windows filled with different colored liquids, or flowers like yours. Very cottagey feeling :0)
I like scouring the charity shops here, you sometimes find some great bargains! And, if you manage to find something of value, you can always sell it on ebay and make yourself a penny ;0)
Yes, many people do that on ebay. I never had any luck personally, lol! I love that look too! I am looking for wicker furniture for outdoors and/or cast iron sections of fencing. Some people have such great ideas. I like to give ideas that are inexpensive. Thanks for watching. Oh, I like that idea of different colored liquids. Great idea!
$6 for four stuffed animals? You're insane.

That's awesome. The thing these days, however, people don't want to pay what some things are worth. I would if I found an antique that I wanted.
