  • @ ponchoso, he's using max msp to translate note on off into midi cc's to control live, clever but not just the tenori like you said, i have one and there is no way to get 303esq sound out of it,

  • Not even if you put 303 samples on the SD card?

  • Afraid not, the 303 depends on gliding between the notes but the tenori re-triggers the notes, its still a great machine and i've not bored of it yet, but it doesn't do big mono-synth bass lines

  • Ah I see what you mean - it's like tied notes on reason's matrix sequencer.

  • Thats pretty cool. However, In Live 7 you can set up racks to control filters and stuff in macros. From there you can dedicate layers on the TO to control filters and glides accents etc. In fact you can set say pitches 1-8 as a step filter, and then 9-16 for cut off and so on one layer you can control and visualise both one on top of the other. Haven't gone too far into it (work and life etc) but its a good start. Nice.

  • was this just the tenori-on?

  • Yes

  • Great video, finally some good videos showing how the tenori can be used properly.

Hopefully one day my tenori compositions weill sound as good as yours, keep up the great work.
