  • You have a computer with numerous ways to use spell checking. Hello!

The word medieval has its origins in the Latin term medium aevum ("middle age").

Common Misspellings: medeival, medievel, medeivel, midevil, mid-evil, medival, mideval, midieval, midievel, mideival, mideivel.

  • now i've seen this, i'd love to be waterboarded

  • See BBC documentary Myth of the Spanish Inquisition here: watch?v=eMkjvCKTK3Q

and a lecture on Crusades here: watch?v=jRJ_uR0dcoo

Stop being NWO antichristian propaganda pawns. :)

  • sucks to be a criminal back in the medievel days

  • god thank god i have big ass guns for my personal safety ready to use them on ppls that are just as crasy then as they are now

  • In San Diego, a serial killer is slaying the rich and famous with medieval instruments of torture stolen from a museum exhibit. Investigative journalist Mike McIntyre reports that the madman goes by the name Friar Tom, in homage to his hero, Tomas de Torquemada, first Grand Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition. The infernal devices the monster uses include the Scavenger's Daughter, the Judas Cradle, the stretching rack and the Iron Maiden. SDPD homicide detective Darrell Walton is baffled.

  • where do you go to see this i wanted to go

  • this is my kinda of place top shop for you ex bf

  • I cant stand heavy metal crap. I'm outta here!

  • I see shit like this and I just hate fucken people, perverts put In charge to dole out punishment that they got hard on's wile looking at, there could'nt be a god

  • i love godsmack since i first heard it on scorpion king lol

  • I think this was exercise equipment.

  • this is not i stand alone.

  • Don't be scared, the Catholic Church doesn't use these methods of torture anymore. Nowadays their instruments of torture can be hidden under a cassock.

  • @jonsc92 I know right. FaganRoberts is just going to burn in hell for all eternity. Oh well.... at east we dont have to worry about anything!

  • where is tht

  • Thats not due to being catholic or protestant. Its because most of these cruelties were committed in Germany for mostly non religious reasons. Germany only "accidentally" happened to be in large parts protestants. Torture is largely a German problem. My brother Markus Bott had been tortured during five and a half years and was assassinated in 2009 because of our homepage linked on my channel. Btw, I am catholic.

  • Ah, the memories. I grew up in Munich and visited the Rothenburg (pronounced ROE-ten-burg) Medieval Crime Museum twice. It's been nearly 25 years since my last visit there, and I'm dying (no pun intended) to someday take my wife and kids. Amazing place. Thank you so much for this video, SSGLuceyGirl!

  • wow some of them look rather comfortable. imagine, that used to be someones job to invent these things, what an easy job that'd be, fun too.

  • back then it was punishment.

    Now it is pleasure.

  • I remember visiting this museum. They have loads on German werewolf legends, and the infamous masks of shame!

  • @jonsc92 Jesus is myth. Grow up and stop believing everything your mommy told you as a child.

  • you 2 are right...

    I just killed my brother!!

    don't tell anyone...

    thanks SSGLuceyGirl

  • Wow.....Wonder what Jesus and God tought when they saw the Church use this O_O?

  • @ crock62 maybe something along the lines of "oh damn, what the hell did I just do? these little human things are horrible! what was I thinking, this was such a bad idea! son, were gonna need another apocalypse...and don't bother with the arc this time"

as a whole we humans are REALLY BAD at learning from our mistakes. after the holocaust we said "never again" and then we got to today and looked around at sudan, sri lanka, china, cambodia, north korea, vietnam, cuba, iraq/afghanistan etc. yay humans!

  • @crock62 Jesus is dead, if he ever lived. Geeez.

  • it's the best video i have ever seen!

    I learned a lot.

    thank you SSGLuceyGirl!

    the best part was 1:48...

  • I feel like torturing someone now!

  • :) me too!

  • I definitely would've hated living in that time....

  • Excellent museum. Went there in 2002. Rothenburg is a great place to visit. Be sure to go to the Christmas store there Kathe Wohlfart (?). Take the Night Watchman tour too.

  • well we came up with a great solution to solve part of the problem... birth control and condoms. yet so many remain to stupid in light of these advances in our ability to be responsible people.

  • @Nort1234567 you fucking primitive ape piece of shit. do you know how uncomfortable are chasity belts you piece of old fuck!? well, there are male chasity belts too and why don't you pop your dick inside and try to justify your bullshit again when you're done. you fucking medeival primitive fanatic.

  • @asenboi Might I recommend a bridle to help curb your tongue..

  • @asenboi LOL a little touchy on 15th century practices eh...gotta love over reactions to bad jokes...

That's a horrible selection of music for the video...

  • some of those things look increadibly fun to use

  • What are those things at 3:30 .Why were they used? Thanks for your video.

  • Those are chastity belts. Nobles often had their whorish wives wear them whilst they were away on military campaigns, or business.

  • Ha. Whorish?

  • I'd love to go there. I went to a pretty good one in Belgium years ago but this is even better!! Good vid!!

  • can't remember when i was in there for the last time. I think i was in the age of your kid. And i'm living in that town.

btw... the second song is "make me believe", the third "i stand alone"

  • Wow... there's more than one song playing in this video? They all sound exactly the same...

  • Honestly I couldn't give you a accurate counting, I would suggest doing some research, maybe google But I'm sure there are many that we just don't even know about in the end Ton of hugs Mel

  • Why is one of the three crowns of the Holy Roman Empire being displayed among the torture devices?

  • Not really sure as to why it was there According to research it is being held in Schatzkammer, Vienna therefore it might of been on loan I also found it quite interesting to have seen a crown there Especially since there wasn't very much in that area but there were a few info about torture that would take place while in church around that area Ton of hugs Mel

  • Great video and great music, like it! :) If you like this place, you should visit Madamme Tussauds in London and the Tower of London. At the Lambertichurch 3 cages are hanging which got in for centuries 3 human bones. also there are some switchtowers in some german cities. Books describe some tortures or look here on youtube for "Catholic Inquisition and The Torture Tools" Btw the iron virgin were never used in the medieval ages :)

  • Thanks for the tip Unfortunately I don't see myself visiting London soon but I do hope in a couple of years coming back and especially there In addition yea I do really love places like this We are going to have talk You have a lot of insight and that is great Ton of hugs ♥Mel

  • LOL that was my son That was quite funny actually because he looked at me like what do I do at first Tons of hugs ♥Mel

  • I loved that museum. I made 2 trips to Germany while my brother was stationed there. We went to the museum and I loved the truly disgusting methods of punishments. Perhaps they should be used in the U.S., crime would be a lot lower.

  • Hey Thanks for the comment and please Thank your brother for serving for me please You know I have to say out of all the museums I have gone to I LOVED this one it was so amazing especially some of the things they would use for punishment Tons of hugs ♥Mel

  • at 2:42 wat is that

  • The big piece is where if two girls were fighting they would lock their heads as well as their arms on one side and combine them together I don't recall the smallest piece and asked my husband sadly he doesn't recall either Tons of hugs ♥Mel

  • Love, love, love this stuff! (oops, am I not supposed to? LOL)

  • I am soooo glad you liked this. By far this was one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much more I want to go see, especially with all the dark history Germany has. Tons of hugs from Mel!

  • Scary. Thank god I havent done anything to get a punishment..

  • LOL, I know exactly what you are saying. It was great to show Jared however how easy he had it.. Its amazing how much things have changed! Tons of hugs and thx for the comment - Mel!

  • nothing has changed! all these things are still being used - they are effective. torture will be found in any country, sad but true

  • I can see why it would be effective, its quite scary to think about if you were put in that type of situation We have seen some interesting places here in Europe and actually just left the square in Paris were there were several beheadings Tons of hugs ♥Mel

  • I think beheading is nothing compared to the cats paw.. But I dont know, ive never been tortured in thoose ways..

  • Wow Mel what an awesome video. Great choice of music. This was really enjoyable. I love history. Thanks!

  • Thank you, I'm so happy you enjoyed the video. It was such a amazing gallery. The Shame Mask were crazy, they even had one for talking way to much. Also the shoes in this video, you had to wear them if you couldn't control yourself by making moves on women. Tons of hugs - Mel!
