Lordi really isn't copying Gwar, if they copy someone or something it's Kiss. Kiss is Mr. Lordi's favourite band and they didn't know about Gwar when Lordi started to play. And one more thing, monster costumes and monster theme has been so long in the rock and metal music, that there is no way to say that someone has copied monster theme. Good examples of monster or mask themes are Alice Cooper, Kiss, Slipknot, Lordi and Gwar.

i know i was one of the only people cheering in massechusests when he sais AYE AYE AYE and i was in the front row so he recognised me when i went to the signing and thanked me for being such a good fan we accually had a disscussion about why he thought people didnt like them he said the same thing they were at a concert with mostly screaming bands so the fans reacted weird

what most people dont understand is that in the US, no one really knew who lordi was when they were on ozzfest, so no one knew what to expect here. i first saw them at the tinley park ozzfest, and they were awesome, and now im a fan. some people there didnt like them though because when they saw them come out in the costumes, they were expecting hardcore screaming, or something like gwar. that is why some of there ozzfest shows didnt go so well. most people loved them at tinley park though.

What you should understand is that Lordi had only played a couple shows ever in North America. Most of these people have never heard them, or know who they are. Lordi more then likely shouldn't have been playing the main stage. They aren't an established act.
