  • I missed the part where the bld imploded.

  • What a fucked up fire this was. It's a miracle we did'nt lose more guys that day.

  • you can talk all u want about nyc firefighters, or any as a matter of fact..... just remember when youre trapped at the end of one of those burning smoke filled hallways on the 60th floor with no way out, that theres a whole crew of guys that are risking their lives to crawl down that hot dark smoky hallway to get you out. and even after all the shit you talk theyre still coming

  • And another thing, about being told to not go in there, just let it burn? By law if I or any other firefighter in this country just let a building burn, even if the owner told you to, it is ILLEGAL. You can have charges brought up on you. Also I don't really want anyone telling me not to go in there. I have had my helmet melt of my head, I've burned my ears on more than one occasion, but I know the risks I know the job, that's what I was trained to do, and I'm going to do it.

  • And by the way sillyboy (what the hell kinda name is that anyway?), the building wasn't abandoned, and it started from workers smoking near open fuel containers. It was being demolished from the inside, and it was one hell of a job. Multiple floors, Hazardous Materials and Asbestos on all floors, falling debris, fire on the scaffolding, and MOST important NO FREAKING WATER!! The standpipe was dry so they had to pump water up 14 floors! They did a great job that day, and you should respect them

  • i kno he is an ass, the job of a firefighter is to protect life and property. they died doing thier job. dnt post stuff if u dnt kno what ur tlking about

  • sillyboy024 those firefighters showed more bravery in that one day then you will ever show in your entire sad life. Their were workers in there and when they pulled up they were coming out. There could have been more people up their. Why don't you worry about your own redneck, volley fire department asshole.

  • were you there? are you FDNY? then shut the hell up and respect those that were lost!

  • first of all, if you have sort of intelligence what so ever. you cannot just let a building burn regardless if it is abandoned or not. if you have any common sense at all, you would realize that not only was it a building in the middle of new york city, but in the center of manhattan. Letting an "abandoned" building continue to burn poses the risk of catching other buildings on fire, who knows if it will just go out when it hits the "foundation". I'm sure you don't know that

  • and for another thing sillyboy024, I honestly hope what you wrote was not serious in any way, because if it was, you have serious issues. I'm 100% sure that the families are proud, don't you worry, because I have never been more proud in my life. I sat there in both wakes and funerals, and I have never seen so many people so proud of two people in my entire life. I'll pray for you tonight, I think you almost need it more.

  • Wow. You idiot.

What the hell do you do for a living, huh? Do you save lives? These people do. Even poor imbeciles like you.

  • @sillyboy024 u fucking asshole these heros put there lives on the line everyday to say any firefighter death is stupid takes a real asshole and scumbag i know if i was there families i would be proud of them and i am sure there families are verry proud u are a fucking asshole scumbag

  • @o194 i agree with you

  • God bless the families of the fallen firefighters. We had to stand together all over the world. Without firefighters we can´t exist.

    Best regards, a german firefighter

  • ileso13 - I flinched as I filmed this with my mobile; instinctively reached out to the passing firefighters to say 'don't get closer, don't go there, it's too dangerous.' But this is their job, the duty they take an oath to honor, their pride. They walk into fires for us. We need warning not to go into burning buildings because we're civilians. Firefighters go in on our behalf to put the fires out. They're honorable beyond our comprehension or rational thought.

  • ileso13, out of respect for what happened yesterday, I suggest you shut up and stop posting this bull. Your comment is totally inappropriate, you paranoid ASSHOLE

  • Does anyone warn you when you do your job? That's what we do while people like you make judgment calls from armchairs. Life's too short to be afraid.

  • AND YOUR AN IDIOT TOO

  • Every firefighter that goes into a burning building knows it could be the last thing they do. I'd love to give you a set of gear and see you run from the flames.

  • Out of respect for what happend please post an aplogie, because you realy do come of as an asshole. have a little respect!

  • RIP to those we lost on that day.

  • RIP to the two heroic firefighters who were killed at this fire. We as a country must never forget what these men did on this day and on 9/11.
