@TheHotHotMess It's true - he has much shorter hair now, but otherwise it's the same old Murray! GBS and Moxy are two of my favourite bands. I was sad when Moxy broke up, and sad when the original bass player from GBS, Darrell Power, left - but am very happy that they replaced him with Murray.
i eat humble pie too i wonder why murray cut off all his beautiful hair i loved it he was ao nice looking i also love this video i watch everyday thanx for posting it
ok the fact that they are only four guys....wow! when I first heard them I thought it was like a good six people or more...LOVE this song! It's so fun!
I really miss being able to see these guys live... though I don't think any of them (except possibly Jian) had this much hair when I saw them in concert...
I've watched this video like a balilion times, and I STILL don't understand the "The rich guy wants to know, King" comment that gets the audience laughing.
oh... please do some more research... fruvous was very funny and intelligent... this is one of the more fun cute songs.... If you can find the Live Noise Album, that is a decent sample of fruvous - although NOTHING compares to a live show

Actually, I am of the same age as these guys and remembering having the misfortune of hearing a few of their songs back in the day. I stand by the "very cutesy" comment. I am not saying they do not have musical talent, but considering they make their lyrics a focal point, they are often very cringe worthy.
Moxy Fruvöus is one of the few bands I actually prefer live. This song (King of Spain) and Boo Time are my favorites but Johnny Saucep'n and My Baby Loves A Bunch of Authors are good too. I heard they're sort of based off of TMBG, lol. Who knew?
I think they're very funny, when they mean to be. Not all of their stuff is intended to be funny. But "King of Spain" is fun, and some of the improvisational bits they did on "Live Noise" are a scream (like "lowest highest point" or the stuff about naked puppets).
Thank you so much for putting this video up. I never got to see them in concert, I found out about them too late, and it's great to finally get a taste of what I missed. Man they were awesome.
I'm very sorry for you...I got to see them two times FOR FREE in record stores here in the US. And then later in concert at a big venue. The record stores were excellent, intimate shows. I miss them so much.
Thanks for uploading this! I've been looking for a video of their "Just For Laughs" performance for quite some time now, and this was...this was it. It's great; thanks for the upload!
If they'd known in July of '94 that this would live on via something called "YouTube", they likely would have made much different wardrobe choices. =)

Based on Murray's and Dave's hair (see Ash Hash, also posted here from same show), my guess would be 1994.

they have AMAZING voices, but even for the 70s/80s they always dressed weird, and were not very funny. (for the most part)

That video is probably from the 90s. They formed in 89 and "King of Spain" didn't come out till their "Bargainville" album in 92.
