"Forget, the shooty dog thing." Damn i hate how everyone disregards K9 as a helper, or even just an obstacle. When is everyone going to realise K9 in al his former glory? The only scene that shows true compassion for K9 is when he blows up, and at the end with Sarah Jane. Its really frustrating to see people not care about him. K9 is an awsome little metalic mutt, saving the world while looking adorable.

As random as this is, my girlfriend's Grandad (Bob Baker) was the person who invented K-9. He owns the rights of K-9 so could techniqually make a spin off if he wanted to. the BBC have to pay him to use K-9. Pretty cool :)

If you listen to the DVD commentary - the Mark IV at the end of School Reunion is in fact the original, the very first, K9 from The Invisible Enemy! The guy who has him now brought him in at the last minute.

to answer the other part of the question: since it's a 70s british show, pretty sure "fuck" wasn't anywhere in the script for anything ever aired back then. Don't recall them ever actually swearing in that show.

But these days, yeah, you can say fuck on TV in Europe, as long as it fits the situation. People might think you're retard for saying it, but that's different.
