  • my grandpa gave one to me when i was in first grade, and played it everyday! but it disappeared. :( and that was the start of my nintendo handheld addiction.

  • i remember this ^^ i got one from my cousin back in 99 when i was 4 :) used to play it (and rage coz i lost a lot) for hours

  • nice, here got this game that passed from my dad to me, is a bit damaged on the cover but still working perfectly!

  • I have one, but how can i turn it off

  • @timkoelen You cant turn them off - they're like watches but the batteries last for ages :)

  • Me and a friend use to play this game on Road Trips, trust me, it really made the time fly by!

  • imagine that all the 'nerds' in the previous century played this

  • What song is this?

  • @techdeckshere The "Benny Hill" theme tune ;)

  • I have the game :3

  • I still have this hand held woundering how much its worth now compared to when i got it would love to find other ones with the same body styles but differnt games

  • WOOOOOOAAHHH MAN!!!! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • i got this on ebay for only $20!!later i found it for 60

  • and i can't believe how i would spend hours playing this. i used to also have chinse knockoff ones too.

  • I don't really get how packing boxes in a factory is relevant to being plumbers. Oh well it doesn't matter because this game is great!

  • I have this, i have never completed it, it gets too hard.

  • @huggies12345 Good point - I wonder if there is an end to the game or if it oops over and over?

  • @redmistpete it never ends

  • @nrdesign1991 my worst fears are confirmed :(

  • This was one of my favourites, along with Octopus, Donkey Kong I, II & Jr.

  • @victorbarovsky DKII was great!

  • I got that for my kids when they were little and I still have it and it works great still best money I have spend back in 1983 lol

  • @rbkarate Yeah, it's a great game - improves your reaction time for lightning fast maegeris and gyakuzukis ;)

  • i don't get it

  • @cybershockandifrit It's a hand-held game, I recorded a simulation, sped it up and put it to music.

  • thats marios cement factory

  • @bazookajoethethird Nope, it's called "Mairo Bros" it's a factory game where you pack boxes.

  • u can mute audio by clicking speaker on bottom of viewer

BUT WHY WOULD U WANT TO?!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it possible to mute the audio on these?

  • Any idea on how to set the clock in this game?

  • A I remember, you have to press and hold (for a second or two) a pin/ball-point pen into one of the tiny metal buttons to change the time.

  • Thanks! It worked.

  • Of course - no worries! ;)

  • I broke mine by setting the alarm. When i pressed in the very tiny button to set the alarm with a small sharp instrument the tiny button got pushed in and stuck. The whole game wouldn't work. I tried taking the game apart to try push the tiny button back out but had no luck and made the whole thing much worse and couldn't put it all back together again. Luck i bought another mario Bros from e bay and wasn't too expensive. I think Mario Bros is one of the best games ever made.

  • i have one right in front of me i have to get batteries for it though p.s i am not selling it

  • i downloaded a couple of these but the screen was too small and i already have them on my gameboy

if you ever find a gameboy advance game called Game & Watch Gallery 4 you should really buy it

  • Thanks - I've got that too

  • Love how you put the Benny Hill music with this. My fav game too and you can still buy these

  • Thanks - yep they're quite collectible.

  • were can you buy them?

  • They are quite old now but they are available on eBay and Amazon and Google if you search for "Nintendo Game & Watch". This one is Mario Bros but there were quite a few different games.

  • i have the original handheld version :)

  • Great - people say that PS controllers wear your thumbs out they should play a G&W for a couple of hours! :s

  • OMG i still got mine!!

    not bad for 1983!

  • Cool, keep hold of it! You still use it? They don't make 'em like this any more. Shame, they're awesome for developing coordination and reaction speed. Tomytronic were good for that too!

  • haha my best score is 569 in game B!!

  • Cool - I think mine's around 764 for game B

  • whats up im bidding on that type today

  • LOL..it's amazing how the Benny Hill theme always makes things funnier.

Anyways, did anyone here used to "cheat" when playing this game? You controlling one brother, and your friend the other? High scores for good teamwork, cause of big arguments for "misses".

  • No, didn't think of that :)

  • @eclectica1 I think that was how you were supposed to play.

  • this is what nintendo was for me.NES,ORIGINAL GAME BOY and hand held GAME AND WATCH.nintendo lost it for me in the 16 bit era.

  • Yup best 3 consoles ever produced.

  • I also have this, its great!!

  • I love the benny hill theme..lol

  • Yeah, it makes me chuckle a bit too. Cheers.

  • Nope, unfortunately not :(

  • do u have the ZELDA one too?

  • i have this and DOnkey Kong! SO FUN!! LOL

  • yep! indeed

  • sorry is it just me or does it say LEIGI

    insted of luige

  • Haha, yep - it's Leigi (his lesser well-known half-brother). Either that or youtube compressed the video resolution jut enough to make it unreadable ;) Cheers!

  • Lol I borrowed that from my best friend in the 80's back i was a kid then..

lol was this game hard. But I mustadmit it was a piece of portable and innovative fun in the early 80's! The background is simply film overlay but very nice!

  • Yeah, they were cool - I'd had mine about 2 weeks before my cousin, Justin, 'borrowed' it....permanently :(

  • yes my friends borrowed game and watch gallery 3 and guess what they move

  • Yeah, it's amazing the lengths that some people will go to just to get their grubby mitts on one of these ;)

  • Those are pritty rare stuff.. had one when i was a kid.. it was with mario

  • Just bought of ebay three of them not bad prices, bidding works.... Mario bro's the one shown above for £10.51, Zelda for £15 and I went out abit for Mickey and Donald at £31 but all worth it, I'm a Nintendo Gamer and just wanted some of the Classic Game and Watch games

  • Congrats - good investment! My brother-in-law managed to get the entire collection once and mounted them all in a nice display frame but then he sold them really cheaply :(

  • I'm not planning on selling these, their for my own enjoyment its something that is worth getting now, as in 10 years time they'll be hard to find or cost an arm and leg, it's like how toys that we're cheap in 1950 now go for alot. Collectors item

  • I agree completely - I just meant that my brother-in-law should have kept his for 10 years longer ;)

  • f*** them

  • hey, I have one of those!

  • Yay - they're awesome!! Congrats :)

  • Yeah, I was disappointed with Mario Bros Game and Watch, I thought you'd be fighting koopas like the original game

  • Well, Mario Bros were kind of in this job-related theme back then.

    Mario Bros is plumbing,

    Wrecking Crew is wrecking things,

eventually Mario evolved back into a super hero rather than some guy working a crazy job.

So you got games like Mario's Cement Factory, and Mario Bros, for the Game & Watch.

  • (.)_(.)

  • lol

  • hehe

  • i wanted a benny hill chase / yakkety sax game.lol.

  • LOL - yeah,woulda been cool ;)

  • imagine you had to lift sue uptons skirt and there were three levels ankles , legs ass ?

  • Well...erm...lol; I guess my thumbs might be moving around a little faster than whilst playing this game?

  • Yeah, great game. Almost as hard as my dick once it starts getting crowded and fast, though.

  • Yeah I know what you mean, I had the same problem till someone told me to stick a stone in my shoe - made me limp for a while ;)

  • i'd like to make paris hilton limp for a while.

  • THis is a cool game i just go it down from my attic for my kids to play. In time i will put it away for the grandkids . you can not beat the old games there are the best

  • I agree ;) Happy Days.

  • i have no idea whats happening it going to fast lol

  • Hehe, I sped it up for the clip - The game is a /little bit/ slower in real life ;)

  • MAN! Now that game looks fun! Nowadays, you see a bunch of boring Game & Watch rip-offs in stores like Walgreen's and Toys r' Us! Great video. 5/5

  • Yeah, it kept me amused for hours and improved reaction time as well. This is the PC version - I don't own the original any more; my cousin swiped it not long after I got it as a child :(

  • oh yeah, thanks for responsing my email, and yes i was born in 1982 30,april ,2 years later after the first game&watch handheld was coming out hahaha lol!!!

  • Hehe, cool. You can still buy them on eBay, if your interested. I like this one ^ "Mario Bros" and "Donkey Kong II". Should cost you about £10-£25 each. They'll increase in value (if you look after them for 10 years or so). See ya.

  • oh yeah! Crazy Sax!

  • hahaha that music was realy fun to hear.

and the fact that two lcd screen are side by side a feature no handheld of today ever support it.

note: i never have played those games, is it true that the first game&watch series were made in 1980?? so yes wich games??

    thanks

  • Found this on WIKI: * Ball (Silver, 28th Apr 1980) * Flagman (Silver, 5th Jun 1980) * Vermin (Silver, 10th Jul 1980) * Fire (Silver, 31st Jul 1980) * Judge (Silver, 4th Oct 1980)

  • In the game Mario galeri 3 i can play this game and alots of other game and watch game^^

  • Yes they're good little packages. "Game & Watch Gallery 3" - is that for the Gameboy?

  • what is that game. nobody wants to play that game '-'

  • It's one of the original Nintendo hand-held games, before the advent of PC's. You probably wouldn't understand what nostalgia is though.

  • SWEET !

  • (-:

  • Awesome Commercial! I actually loved these games, and I found this cool website that has almost every electronic handheld game for sale. It's great if you want the original classics.

    ElectronicHandHelds . com

  • Yep - they're quite a good investment if you can get them all (while you can still get them) and mount them in a display frame. Obviously the better the condition they're in the more they'll be worth if you sell them and if you can get the original box (no matter what condition it's in) they'll be worth a lot more in the future.

  • Hows the song called ?

  • I'm not sure what it's called but it's the theme tune from "The Benny Hill Show". Cheers, Pete.

  • I just bought this on ebay for $40 and was so glad to find it. I used to play this game A LOT in 1985.

  • Yeah, it was a good one.

  • nice, this is my favourite game&watch together with donkey kong JR.

  • Yeah - DKII is pretty cool as well where you have to collect keys to unchain Kong.

  • Great clip man!! made me laugh :D
