  • love this bike

  • fuk me that's slow

  • it s nice looking bike but top speed of 90 i think is a bit poor considering the only mc22's cbr 250s's would tip nearly 120 mph. like a 125 nsr can do 100 mph. its probably a nice bike to drive though.

  • Is the bike stock in the video?

    Thanks

  • I had an 06 ninja 250r as a starter. I was only 17 so that's all I could buy really haha. It was actually fun driving it cause I drove the piss out of it, especially on the lake roads. I now have upgraded to a 2007 fz6. Much stronger engine, can't even imagine going back to te 250. Great starter bike! Just buy it used NOT brand new, you will lose so much money.

  • is this new jersey?

  • Why! what happend to the mad 250 2stokes with 50+ horse power and (I prefer) the 4stroke 45hp 250's, oh man they kick ass. They should make the mad 4strokers again with a simple power restricter for 33hp and then you can simply release the 45 when your ready. 18,000rpm and the sound !!!

  • @bikecrazypete Emissions. Fuel economy. Learner restrictions. World requirements. The old bikes run just fine if you take care of them though, so that might be a better option for you.

  • @cheezgrated i get over 50mpg from my fzr250 when im going at normal pace, unlike the 250cc 2-strokers that would only get 35plus. also its a four stroke so emisons cant be that bad - never seen a puff of smoke. it will do 120 tops and is realy flickerble round the twisties, its a small bike with lots of attidued - almost like a small man complex - it wants to take on more then it can handle and screams about it. right im done off to the a20.

  • my hornet 250 can run 180kph even at its age...i see technology is going down the drain

  • slabe na 250 to jest..

  • sweet bike

  • I started out on a 2010 ninja 250 and am a better rider because of it. I have a cbr 600 f3 now but my buddy is getting the 2011 cbr 250r. I told him to get a ninja 250 because my ninja had way more power than this and topped out at 105 mph. plus it didnt sound like a dirtbike haha

  • what king of exhaust do you wear in your bike?

  • I think I'm good with the top speed being 90... I barely like going over 85 in my car...

  • i bought the new cbr250r abs on 5th jan 2012. it reaches 0-100kph in just 12 sec. and my top speed is 140kph

  • i appriecate the place of lower CC bikes, i owned a Yamaha R125 for 13 months and the fuel mileage and everything like that was excellent. But at the same time, i really think my 125 accelerated as fast as that 250 and the top speed was 84mph so not too dissimilar to this 250?

  • wait the most it will do is 90?!

  • @rolgarcia1 Yes, 90 MPH. If you are going down a hill you may be able to hit 95MPH.

This is a 250cc! You want to go Captain Insano then you will need a 600cc+

  • @hnesiak well thats high but it doesnt really sound too impressive. well i guess it makes up for a fun time riding.

  • @hnesiak Can this bike get past 70mph and stay there consistently?

  • @hnesiak you can always modify ;)

  • @hnesiak well a 1990's cbr can get up to 190 km/h :P

  • Yes, if you wait long enough. Those small displacement four cylinder engines have to be spinning 10,000+ rpm just to overcome their own internal friction. The Hyosung 250, Kawasaki 250 Ninja and the CBR250 Honda are WAY nicer to ride. More instant punch, especially on the Hyo and Honda. The Ninja needs to be revved more than them, but NOTHING like a 250/4. They sound like blenders and you go from ix to chop to whip...

  • @hnesiak lool you don't need 600cc to break 90 my gilera runner 180 will break 90 easy those cbr250s are just slow

  • most 250cc riders care more of ease of riding and mid-range performance then top-speed and full out acceleration which is why the cbr 250r is better then a ninja 250, especially for a starter bike

  • I started out on a 09 Suzuki GS500F. I bought it new, had it 6 months really enjoyed the fuel mileage of 50-58 mpg. My friend had an 88 Honda interceptor 250 (this was an awesome bike just not taken care of). Long story short I traded bikes with the friend, he took the 500, and i traded the Honda interceptor in on an 05 hayabusa, its a blast to drive but I have seen as bad as 23 mpg. Now I'm kicking around buying another smaller bike like this 250 cause it gets 80+ mpg

  • So glad I started on my sv650 instead of getting something like this. I was bored of my crf250 by the time I got rid of it. Can't imagine how boring that same engine would be with 100+ more lbs to lug around. Probably a perfect starter bike for someone that doesn't have years of dirtbike experience like me though. Looks cool, too.

  • HAHAHA Wow! Oh my god... I can't believe I ever thought these types of speeds were fast.. I rode an MC22 way way back when and I haven't ridden one since.. I've spent the last couple of years on a Daytona 675 and I cannot believe how slow these bikes are!

  • that bike speedometer km/h or mph??

  • @hellisme130 It's mph, but it can be toggled.

  • @hellisme130 MPH

  • my motobike 135 yamaha LC 180kmh..broo

  • @iparjo23 leh citer arr meter ringan..=)

  • juair17 hang pendek mana boleh naik moto besaq hahahahahaha

  • CBR250R 156KMH--- KAWASAKI NINJA250R 190KMH

  • @iparjo23 Cool story, how about which one gets off its arse quicker

  • Lol sounds like a pocket bike

  • Hi there, I owned a Yamaha 135rxz yeah it is just a small cc bike, and capable of going for 190km/h so im thinking of changing into 250, as bike here are very expensive... im only 165cm tall will this bike fit me... and btw nice bike

  • damn some of the comments here are just ignorant. nothing wrong with a 250 to start. in fact, nothing wrong with a 250 to even have when you're an experienced rider. riding something like the R1 is a rush, but 250s are just too fun to give up. some of you deserve to be crushed by a cager.

  • @ilocanoTornado Well said. Even if I had 10 motorcycles in the garage I would keep the 250.

  • @ilocanoTornado Yes, I totally agree. I started out on the NSR125R 9 years ago. Then followed by 3 CBR600Fs, now currently on a 1000 Blade. But somehow I really want to own the new CBR250R.

  • @ilocanoTornado well the reason those boneheads are bad mouthing this bike is because they know nothing about them and never ridden one let alone this one

  • @ilocanoTornado Most of the people talking shit have probably never ridden a bike in their entire lives. Either that, or they think they are hot shit riding around on their 600cc/1000cc with 3" chicken strips on the rear tire.

I started on a 600cc, but frankly starting on a 250 is the way to go. For me personally, I have no regrets, but I may pick up a 250 later on down the line for the hell of it. A CBR250R, if I had my choice.

  • this video is sped up slightly...

  • @wildicepick 100% FALSE.

This video was shot with a GoPro camera and uploaded directly to YouTube. No alterations, modifications, or anything. 100% Genuine real time footage.

  • @hnesiak sorry I meant to say this video looks sped up :) my bad.

  • Top speed 95mph? ahaha. I had an 1984 suzuki Rg 250 once. Even that old bike was much faster. Why so? 2stroke VS 4stroke. All engiens below 600cc should be 2stroke. 4stroke in small engiens don`t only run slow but the sound from the engiens sounds boring!! If u want to stay with 250, the aprilia Rs 230 is recomanded with top speed 137,5mph=220km/h. Otherwise is the suzuki RGV 250 also a fun bike. Both the rs and rgv has a V2 engien. If u want L2 engien, the suzuki rg 250, yamaha tzr 250 is fun

  • @mosellid I wish the regulations on 2 stroke engines weren't so strict. Not familiar with the Aprillia RS -230, couldn't even find it on their website. There are only 2 "sport-bike" 250cc motorcycle's available right now, the Ninja and the CBR.

  • @hnesiak Sorry, i type wrong. The right should be Aprilia Rs 250. Search that :)

And yes, most new bikes nowdays are 4stroke. Even more and more 125cc produced in 2011, was 4stroke. This only becos of the CO2. The only real possitive with 4stroke, is that it use less fuel and motorparts can last longer.

  • dont waste your time...if you dont like the sound and want to go over 90 easily you might as well start with a 600.

  • @vivekcarchha

if you dont like the noise like me then change the pipe like i did with mine :)

  • you can get it to 110-120+ if you modify it a lil.

  • @69incher how mate?

  • @69incher What modifications are you speaking of? A rocket booster? Unless you change the final gear ratio you aren't able to hit those speeds.

  • fart power

  • sounds like a scooter

  • Basically honda put a different body on their crf450

  • this shit sounds like a dirtbike

  • @Raingang55 Haha

  • Comment removed

  • A much better looking bike than the ninja. Does it cruise well at 90mph for extended distances?

  • @92carney I don't like to travel at 90mph for extended distances, on any bike. The CBR250 is a comfortable bike. I'd rather cruise at the lower RPM's instead of at 90MPH and near redline...

  • the old honda CBR250RR is the best

  • nice bike

  • @zakykurniawan1979 Thank You

  • ทำไมมันขึ้นช้าจังอะ หรือคนขี่ๆ ไม่เป็น 55+ 150i แรงกว่ามัง

  • 88MPH

  • what RPM does it run at while doing 75 and 85 MPH?

  • Lots of passing on the right... Be careful. You know there's more blind spots over there, right?

  • All stock ?? how many miles in the bike before this test ??

  • @GTRMclaren722 Yoshimura slip on exhaust. Mileage was around 2k

  • Not bad for a 250 . Just got mine a month ago and love it.

  • cbr250r using mph, what a country?

  • hows the vibration at high speeds?

  • @NguyenEmpir3 Vibration is very minor. You will feel a tingle in your right hand sometimes.

  • it's mph or kmh?

  • @ludvly MPH

  • i'm thinking of buying a cbr250 on my 18th birthday. seems like a pretty good first bike. the only thing i dont like about it is the exhaust note. sounds hideous! is it capable of hitting 100 tucked in? i weigh only 125.

  • @vivekbarchha Not capable unless you are going down a hill full throttle

  • @vivekbarchha yes it will

  • @vivekbarchha I weigh 200, and on the ninja 250r i hit 112mph on the motor way. Reaches a ton easy. Just a heads up (and they look nicer too)

  • @vivekbarchha fuck the cbr kawasaki 250 is the way to go for a 250.

  • @PagingDrFaggot i like the ninja way more than the cbr, but it's too expensive here. nearly double that of the cbr, idk why :S

  • @vivekbarchha what about a cbr250rr?

  • @skittlepower95 nope, that isn't available in India.

  • @vivekbarchha you dont need to be going 100 on a bike at 18 ...wait until you are more experienced till you start ripping on it, weather its a 250 or 1000

  • @vivekbarchha if i have that much money i would choose kawasaki ninja 250, with almost the same price kawasaki ninja cooler than cbr 250

  • @TheHery12vai out here the Ninja 250R is way more expensive than the CBR250R. The Ninja costs about $2700 more than the CBR, because the CBR is manufactured in India whereas the Ninja is imported as a CKD and assembled here. So customs duties apply to the ninja. makes no sense spending so much on a 250.

  • since it's made in asia their standard models will not have any, or if it does it is a dis-functioning turn signal.

  • 80 km/h?

  • @vwigor1 MPH

  • 80 miles?

  • Yea mine runs about 87 to 90 with my slipon pipe and around 83 to 85 with stock pipe, I weight 230.

  • I am thinking about getting my motorcycle license real soon. im gonna start off with the PCX which we've had for a while, then move to this, then hopefully my dad's 600

  • dam, it's a nice motorcycle for a beginner but too slow for me. I am a beginner, but I have ridden a scooter before. The sv650 is a good bike.

  • I ride a 600 but I actually think one of these would be great fun

  • is full racing system??

  • I like the dash of the Honda way more than one from Kawasaki....

  • @MeskovicZ Agreed

  • @MJ4everTheKing How do you not hear the engine sound? It's practically the only sound in the video.

  • What's the weight limit for this bike

  • @espinal0617 Not sure of the weight limit, I weigh 185lbs though.

  • It's good for 95mph on a flat road if you tuck tight -I weigh 175

  • @b5thomas7 The camera mounted on the tank prevented me from doing a full tuck, but yes 95 is possible!

  • @hnesiak Hey can ask a question. I want to get one of these bikes to commute from my home to college. Now the highway to get there goes up to 75 but sometimes you may have to drive up to 85 when passing or just to not get run over by crazy people. So basically what Im asking is does this thing wine and shake like crazy when you get above 70 or 80 mph. I need something that rides comfortable at those speeds so is this a good choice. I currently have an 1983 Honda XL600R.

  • @ryancicocki Bike feels very stable all the way up into the 90's MPH, takes a highway and a tuck position to get it going that fast.

  • Haha just got this bike a few months ago. I only weigh 115lbs. :O

  • bet you get some great fuel milage huh..im buying one soon $4k with helmet and suit=is that fair?

  • @hondaslave sounds like a good deal to me.

  • Nice vid. I have the 2011 cbr 250, all stock, and I've maxed it out at 85 mph. Good little bike but I'd like to upgrade to the 600 someday.

  • Good vid. I have the 2011 cbr 250 also and I've maxed it out at 85 mph. Mine is all stock, sounds fine to me.

  • Hey man

If you don't mind me asking how much do you weight?

    Thanks

  • @GoliathGunner 180-190LBS

  • how is the sound of this bike? you cant hear it well inough... is it like a scooter or a low motor sound?

  • @MJ4everTheKing

I have an after market (Yoshimura) slip on exhaust installed. It sounds louder than stock with the exhaust. It has the typically single cylinder engine (almost like a dirt bike) rumble. Check out my other videos for a sound comparison to the stock exhaust.

  • Thanks for this serious test. I was waiting for real video of this bike
