  • Just got this to replace my halogen version of the Mini Starball - all I have to say is this blows the halogen model out of the water in every aspect! The light is actually white, little to no heat, no duty cycle, and if I did the math right you could run this sucker for over 1,400 days straight before the LED light source goes out. Great job on a great product ADJ

  • i might get 2 or 1 of the nondmx ones and are they still sound active?

  • I own two of these...great effect. Love the Auto-music mode. My only complaint: I can't put the light into Auto-Music mode with DMX. I would suggest in future versions of the StarBall to have a DMX mode for Auto-Music.

  • I thought the same thing, the plastic looked kinda cheap, but once I started demo'ing this fixture and saw it in action at the clubs and in mobile rigs I can tell you it is worth every penny. My customer's are grabbing them up!

  • I cannot believe that these cost $100 for the regular version and $150 for the DMX version. Seems kinda pricey for a fixture that's mostly plastic.

  • i like it :p

    end i whant it

  • Used in pairs to offset the center of the dancefloor both the multicolor and the white or a combo of both make for an awesome visual - add some fog and it's better yet!

  • Also...

I'm hoping a double or single cosmos ball effect with LEDs. I'd like to see something like that with an LED in each lense instead of a central LED.

A tri axil UFO with white LEDs would be so sexy as well, the tri axil UFO is my all time favorite disco light! A DMX version with stepper motors with speed control, and several high powered dimmable white LEDs in the central disk would be a wonderful thing!

I have many ideas for LED versions of 80s disco lights. ;)

  • I'm digging the slammin' 1992 style house in this clip!

The effect is really nice too but it would be cooler if it had a better mounting bracket option, simmilar to the Vertigo. Also are the lenses plastic? They appear to be from the photos I've seen of it.

  • Nice
