Also, in a "free" market society, wouldn't workers still have the liberty to organize anyway? People want completely free market societies, but only to allow freedoms to the owners, not the workers, it seems.

The reason we lose manufacturing jobs is yes, because the owners shut down the factories as a result of losing profit to labor costs.

And you know what? I say, instead of letting the company shut down, they should sell the capital to the laborers or the government and let the laborers democratically self-manage the factories. That way, we keep the jobs, and labor gets a fairer share of the profits than before.

Poor multimillion dollar business owner, though.

DonnieBillyBob, You need to look a little closer. The average worker made about 1/450 of what their CEO made in the 40's. They now make about 1/4500 of what they make. Who's getting paid more? Unions were put in place because of safety reasons, and hours worked. Look up China's safety record, and hours worked.
