My dad passed away one month after my 15th birthday. 39 years ago. I miss him to this day and every time anything happens in my life I think of him and wonder what he would say or how he what he would think. I especially miss that he didn't walk me down the aisle or meet my children.

There are MANY, many great renditions of this classic song, but I personally like the Barbara Streisand version the best. (I rank this one is second, with Nat King Cole 3rd.) Eva Cassidy's version wins for both originality and vocal versatility, but Streisand's triggers the emotions more.

She again, makes it her own and I believe did Judy Garland's song justice. But, of course, I'm partial and biased to Eva Cassidy's version....

My Darlin Bob took me to see Eva perform "live" in 1994 @ a Club just outside Washington D.C. and I fell in love with this Lady's Angel voice...

Eva had magic in her Voice..She could touch the "Coldest" Heart & melt it faster then the hot Sun.

I feel so lucky to have seen her perform @ Blues Alley..My Darlin' Bob was a huge fan before I met him & in 94' and 96' he took me to Washington D.C. to see her in "live" performances.

What an Angel she was as a person & as a Singer..she's very, very missed by so many that were close to her.

It took 4 years after her death for the rest of the World to know her..
