@NyneB21 Don't know... but why in hell would you want to sell The Odd Comic World of Richard Corben? I have it and would sell my kidneys before parting with this treasure trove of early 70s Corben undergrounds...
Someone should just give Corben a load of money to do just what he wants. His masterpiece, 'Neverwhere', only happened precisely because someone with some guts and an interest in promoting free expression did just that. In latter years, Corben has had to take jobs in mainstream comics which, while it gives mainstream a lift, is a great loss to pure expression in the comic form. To cap things off, most of his great early works have been out of print for years...
@luvkrafft Bloodstar is a better story dramatically and with equally great art. I guess what Neverwhere has is the whole 'what the hell is this??' outrageousness factor. It is the unabashed, headspinning, almost absurd sex and violence that makes it his best work for me. The story is not important. If I want a great story I'll read Dostoyevsky or Dickens. But if I want the pure unbounded unleashing of man's repressed lusts for sex and violence then I pick up Neverwhere.
To go on.... I often see Neverwhere trashed for its story but mere drama is not where Corben's unique achievement lies. Having said that, I do think the first chapters and especially the opening have a wonderful existential power - Den reflects the mystery of our own existence. And all the text has a spare, elegant style to it: 'I was overtaken by a vacuous feeling - HUNGER!' Corben's literary style here is far better than the writers who did his later Den stuff...Margopoulis et al...
@CultureJudge "The House on the Borderland", which DC published around 8 years ago is also a good story with always-excellent art (there's a drawing of the main character standing in the rain that stands out). Trippy themes of repeated time cycles determining our fates.
Also, I recommend tracking down Corb and Mignola's Hellboy series "Makoma" and others by the duo.
Great collection. Ive been a fan of Corben for quite a few years but its not until rescently ive been buying his stuff (never really knew where to find most of it before)
I hope to have as impressive a collection as this sometime :)

@CultureJudge Neverwhere does indeed stand out, and Bloodstar (written by the Robert E. Howard) could match it in story, art and overall atmosphere.
