Something like this isn't going to open itself up to those who have arrived with a preconceived negative view of it. How that sculpture, with its curves and contours and jagged edges, resonates somehow with certain sensations or perceptual moments, is perfectly expressed through that. Someone out there didn't need that explanation. It's the kind of work that kind of settles in between the lines of life, sensation, and emotion. You see something abstract and meaningless. But others were moved.
