To me, that looked like he tried to avoid it, after all it's a helicopter, not a plane, they can be much more fragile than a plane, and as someone else said, why would they try to endanger the lives of others by attempting to hit it? O_o
Get the time and date and reg, call the police make an FOI enquiry for the pilots' log and flight engineering log on that day, report the matter to the local police and possibly the PCC as a formal complaint requiring investigation then call the RSPCA and RSPB and the CAA....this will keep them busy LOL .
wot dis shit? why dis asshole helocoptor wan fuck wid da peoples dem fagots o som shit? why dem wan blowed up da kids dem wan fuck dem too lik som fagot o wot? ha ha ha dis ocur fer tru fuck u suck mi dick halal praise praise
oh, forgive me, i didnt know you knew the pilot and knew of his intentions, i didnt know that you knew he wouldnt mind getting the sack for making a severe error of judgement.....if he had intentionally hit the bird that is, i didnt know you knew he was suicidal and wouldnt mind taking the risk, i didnt know you knew he was mental and wouldnt mind putting a shit load of people in danger with this stunt he suposedly carried out, i didnt know you were telepathic, but clearly...... im wrong eh ????
No pilot worth his salt would deliberately try and hit a bird especially in a helicopter. Helos aren't that stable at the best of times let alone when they lose an engine from bird strikes. A rebuild and inspection on these engines costs hundreds of thousands of pounds so to to risk damage or a flame out and crash (they can land on one engine but it's risky) would be insane.
yeah he did it on purpose, he put a multimillion pound helo into a situation where he could possible kill himself, the crew and many of the crowd all on purpose didnt he, grow up, its you idiots who are brain dead, he lifted the rotors as fast as he could to avoid one of them smashing up on cantact with the bird aswell as reducing the risk or debris being injested into the jet, any pilot will tell you this is a common emergency manouver, but wait, your not pilots are you, thought not :D
@srimera .. people like you who make comments like you just did are complete idiots . first of all it was a unknown person stood near the camera that said what he did ,, but you wouldnt have the brains to think that , you just presummed that it was the person filming !!!!
did we say at any point that we was pilots ? mmm let me think ,,,,, no !!!
@fragstair lol, listen to yourself, did i say the guy filming was an idiot ?, no, i didnt, and the fact that some of the guys on the video were clearly saying he tried to avoid it lead me to belive the group of guys had brains, but you have clearly proved otherwise, but thanks for assuming tho lol, i was infact refering to the mindless idiots commenting on a video they know nothing about stating facts that they have no evidence to back up,
@srimera what you on about you donut you can clearly see he hit the bird purposely. and that would not danger him or anyone the bird and its bones would of just disintergrated on impact its like hitting a fly with a car think about what you saying he hitting a bird not a boulder
@MrTomtom221 oh im sorry tomtom, i clearly must have missed that you have a pilot licence, and have done all the required safety training to go with it ???? exactly you fuckin mug, dont tell me im wrong about something ive been doing for the past 4 years, do you honestly think the pilot would risk his own life and countless others within the crowd just to hit a bird ?? your the fuckin donut lad, how about you fuck off and get some common sence ?? then come back with something smart to say ??
@srimera and one more thing before i end this conversation completely i know a lot about these helicopters because my mates dad is a retired police helicopter pilot i also agree that no pilot worth his salt would pull a stunt like that but this guy clearly did you cant seeeeee it maybe he done it by accident but i can see it clearly i cant be asked to argue over the internet its pointlesss
@MrTomtom221 i forgot to add, how the fuck can you say a car hitting a fly is the same, a seagull is substantially bigger than a fly, unbelievable i know, and the rotor isnt doing 60mph, its doing over 700mph, now go and learn about mass and force, i mean wow, how thick can someone get, lets also assume the bird was ingested into the engine, this will cause the aircraft to lose most if not all power and sent it straight into the ground, helicopters dont glide you idiot
@srimera mate you just proved my point you silly cunt the helicopter is spinning round so fast that when the bird hits it it will splatter just as easily as a fly hitting a car i didnt mean exactly 100% perfectly the same. and about the other thing you said that police helicopter "hotel 900" or " indio 900" landed in the feild at the back of my house and the engine is covered completly and the jet turbines that the you think the bird could get lodged in have mesh covers over them
@MrTomtom221 oh, were playing that game, well my mates dads uncles sister who knew of the queen said that her brother knew a man whos sister knew a guy who had a connection with this person who knew about a guy who said your a twat, funny that, and your still wrong, lets say the seagull weighs 1kg, now a rotor made of the strongest composite material would shatter at even 300 mph, and your telling me that increasing the speed by 400mph would reduce that risk, are you always this backwards ?
@MrTomtom221 in what world can you acctually distort physics ?, look at it this way, if you hit a bird at 30 mph it makes a thud doesnt it, if you hit a bird at about 80 it might just about dent your front end, if you hit a bird at 700 you will most likely fuck something up in a catastrophic way, if you dont understand that then whos the cunt ?? and so what for the helo having mesh grills, how am i supposed to know that, i didnt desigh the thing, nore is it the type of aircraft im trained on
and no, i dont see the pilot purposly hitting the bird, i see him make a snap back movement of the cyclic to bring the rotors above the bird thus reducing the risk of rotor contact with a foreign object, in this case a seagull, and by doing this emergency action he is averting what could be, a seriously fucked up accident involving him, his crew and the public crowd, why dont you go flick through the rules and regs of airshow display flying before you start telling me you know what your on about
if the bird had hit the rotor he would have had to make an emergency landing at the aerodrome because the structural integrity of the rotor would have diminished by upto 90%, if the bird hit the body the pilot is safe to exit the airspace if he knows he has full control of the aircraft and it is safe to do so, for example..... no loss of power and return to humberside airport where ground crew can make a full check of the aircraft and repair any damage, superficial or not, there you go sir
@srimera and the mesh covers are there just in case something like this does happen i know helicopters dont glide this means they are not fail safe thats why they do a massive risk assesment when designing them hence the reason that the metal meshes are in front of the turbine and back to the original arguement the helicopter pilot definetly hit the bird purposely i dont what you say you can cleary see it just like everyone else. btw i dont care about spellingbnjw nfieojbalalla
@srimera Chill out. Arguing just for the sake of hearing yourself dispute something is as ridiculous as it is ruinous to your blood pressure. Besides, how much stick time do YOU have?
@cw8jwh well.... lately, only around 80-100 hours a year, its becoming an expensive hobby and my job doesnt realy allow much more time for it, my blood preassure is fine, an argument of any nature wont rase it the slightest bit, ive seen and done alot worse, but thankyou for the consideration
Omg ,,,,,, Pianoplayeruk you may speak English ! but you sure as hell dont understand a east yorkshire accent !
MarkWilliams212 If you pay close attention you see it in 0:520:54, and if you pay even more attention, you realize that he in fact did it on purpose, by leaning the helicopter, so that he hit the bird... this pilot = COMPLETE IDIOT!!!
omg , yeah he did it on purpose ...!!!! the runway at Brough East Yorkshire , is on the river Humber ! many many birds , undersatnd ??
@fragstair he went up so that it didnt hit the blades possibly or engine it may have just hit the windscreen a bird strike to a blade or an engine can cause a crash a windscreen no, so dont comment on things you have no knowledge about .
@fragstair Because you can react in time with a cyclic stick and your main rotor control stick to hit a bird while moving at 80 to 100 miles per hour. Your special in the head.
