  • awe wtf. this is the edited verison.... great.

  • why did they shorten it????

  • One of my favorite songs ever!!!

  • omg this band rocks but 4 some reason nobody i know has even heard of them and off of wut i know there not that popular and i seriousely think they need 2 get noticed

  • @brainery the best bands are the ones that hardly anyone knows about.

  • i hate it when people say "this is like this band and this band put together" cuz its not its like itself so dont throw other shit in there

  • @truffle414 man chill all they are doing is comparing it to see what category it fits in

  • Fucking record companies editing songs...

  • I've forgotten about this song! Till I heard it on an Eisode of Criminal Minds! How weird! lol.

  • The video is...interesting, but why doesn't it have the full song?

  • most modern music videos have bits of the song cut out. i think its to save money on producing it.

  • Holy Shit! Godsmack and Tool collide!!!

  • i feel a story behind this song but, i can't pinpoint it

  • The lead singer's mother killed his brother thinking he was the devil... really f'd up stuff, and that is what the song was about

  • is that really what its about... I thought it was about his girlfriend killing their baby because they had it out of wedlock.... and because people told kept telling her it was an abomination she ended up killing his baby... because he felt god didnt want her to have it... thats what i kinda thought it was about... I would really love to sit down and talk to J. Loren about the meaning in his music

  • @MrAmkunzler i agree

  • @MrAmkunzler

that's exactly what i thought it was about, actually... listening to music while i'm about to sleep makes me think about them that much more...

  • @MrAmkunzler I heard it was his mother, who killed his brother, I guess we'll never know = /

  • @flopdop JESUS CHRIST... i mean... well that SUUUUXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i wish these guys supported AIC in UK would luv to have seen them live!

  • this video is unbelivable

  • the song is awesome and so is the video i like the graphics

  • fkn love this song like!!

  • I don't know Y but this song gives me the creeps. Like a scary movie. But still a good song. (not the vid but the actual song)

  • this vid is epic

  • theirs always two story's to a song one that you can see clearly and then theirs one subliminal

  • Ive enver heard anything else by this band

but this song kicks ass :D

  • they are so awesome

  • come to mexico =(

  • I got to see them live last Saturday they were awsome!!

  • the mom killed the baby thats jacked up

  • because she thought God was tellin her to

"She swore she heard the voice of jesus

Telling her it was wrong to keep it"

  • i know

  • this has been my ringtone since my exgirlfriend walked...... sorry guys

  • wats did ur ex get an abortion

thats wat this song is about

  • Actually it's about how he had a wife that was crazy for Jesus and they already had a kid that she went and killed because she thought she heard Jesus say it.

He says "And so she walked in the baby's room, knowing what she would do, leave me in absolute horror" implying that the baby was already alive.

So she killed because she thought she heard Jesus tell her to.

If you hear the full version he says "One more thing, that looked like me, back when it breathed"

  • these guys tool and alice in chains would be a great gig to see

  • Video's cool, but seems to have little to do with the song, but then I suppose if it were to do with it then it wouldn't get screenings in the US.

  • its easy to see a connection between this and the meaning of the song. I'm pretty sure the meaning of the song is generally infanticide, not given any specific terms by the band; its easy to make the connections, with the clay doll, dark monsters, light goes out, then he grows wings. gg

  • The singer plays 3 insturments which are guitar, viloin and banjo.

  • *sadface*

i saw your description and got excited...but then realized that was 3 years ago.

  • been listening to whis song for the last 7 years.

    crazy

  • this is a rely good song i think awsome

  • It's kinda like a mixture of T00L and Fair to Midland. Both awesome bands! And i really like this song!

  • @MyNumberIs23 Agreed. These guys definitely have potential for art metal.

  • w00t!

    I LOVE THIS SOONG

  • my dad says this vid's artwork reminds him of Tim Burton Nice dad! Tim Burton is a genius

  • I agree with ur dad!!

  • god i love this song its awesome

  • no.... they aren't. I saw them on tour a few years back with staind. The guitarist is an asshole. The other guys are cool though.

  • I saw them with Army of Anyone a few years back. The drummer came up to the balcony after their set was done and took my friends seat ... she came back and kicked him out!!

The best part - she is the biggest CRAZIEST Hurt fan on the planet. She almost cried when I told her what she had done.

  • Jackass.

  • The interpretation seen by myself, would be a simple concept really. Its about a couple who carries on with life. As things go on, a woman is pregnant, a choice has been made, and an innocent baby has been born into the life of the wrong. The woman made her choice, and gave the baby one last kiss. Thus breaking the mans rapture forever.

Bitch kills baby, man suffers, end of miserable fairy tale known as reality?

  • Rapture also stands for a happy ending, or elysium.

  • my totally awesome dad got me to like this song and ive loved it ever since =)

  • The song should be what you interpret it as. If you're going to let the fact that you think it's bashing religion ruin a good song for you, then that's your choice. However, I believe that the song is not bashing Christianity. More so it's against the way people interpret god. I say this because of the line "... god who died? One who would not deny lovers?" He's saying that god would not deny them happiness and punish them for having a child out of wed lock like his lover appears to be believe.

  • Great band, great song, great music video.

Fuck that so called "christian" stuff that is in the video. That is just life, even if they just happen to add something into your music video with something that happened in your personal life. That just makes a good song.

  • i hate when people bring religion into things its pointless.................this is a very good song though first hurt song i listened to...............

  • i know. religion is stupid to bring in a music video.

  • This song is deeper than just bashing Christianity. He's in love with a girl and they had a child together. Then she decides that she can't be with him because of her religion. He doesn't understand. Wouldn't God want people to be happy? Then she just goes crazy and kills the baby because "Jesus" told her to. In the end, he still loves her and wants to be with her.

  • Well this song is condemning religions, listen to the lyrics.

  • its not condemning Christianity

"until the rapture comes to meet us"

    ;)

  • Think that versus is supposed to be somewhat sarcastic, since the rest of the song is bashing Christianity..."She swore she heard the voice of Jesus

Telling her it was wrong to keep it"

  • im not christian or religous and i dont believe in that kind of stuff, but this is a really good song.

  • Dude.

    it's Just a Song.

  • regardless of whether he said it was about a baby or not, 90% of this song is related to Christianity and faith

  • Comment removed

  • it was bound to happen some day :D

  • the dude who wrote this had a girlfriend who was really religous and had a baby when they werent maried and she killed the child.

  • I have and there is only one line about a baby dying in the song...

  • this song is ok, but the video is super trippy it kinda reminds me of the video for schism

  • you can't compare Tool or their videos to any other band because Tool surpasses everyone

  • good point, but the wat the video is done still kinda reminds me of sober and schism

  • I wish record companies would not do this to songs. Over a minute of the song is cut from the video.

    Video is good though.

  • WOW they are soo fucking great

  • I love Vol.I

I can't wait to get the newest.

  • luv the song but the video is kinda creepy!

  • awesome song 8D

  • these guys were amazing at pointfest!!

  • Love this video and a great band,

  • I still have to hear more from Hurt.

All I own is Vol. I and Vol II.

  • LOVE IT!!!! =[)

  • great song

  • listen to their other songs m8 they sound nothing like tool but i do enjoy them aswell

  • Sounds like standard corporate produced rock, but the video is pretty good.

  • You say 50 cent- i say HURT

you say soulja boy- i say Drowning Pool

you say snoop dog- i say SOiL

you say Chris Brown- I say Filter

You say justin timberlake - I say Rob Zombie

92% of kids have turned to rap, pop,& hip hop.If your one of the 8% who like to headbang and disturb the peace copy and paste to 4 videos KEEP THE SPIRIT OF METAL AND ROCK!!

  • Ha. Liar.

Rock is much more popular than you think. Conformist.

  • it is and it isn't but hes talkin bout Metal and only a few Metal bands have hit the mainstream this time

  • Saw them Thursday in Columbia, SC. Awesome sick!

  • if anyone knew about religion, they'd get this video wholeheartedly.

  • saw them last night at the Greenville crawfish boil. They had a good set

  • love the song, dont no about the video though, its a bit out there.

  • is this wanna those crack head vids??? great song tho

  • Freakin sick

  • love this band

  • love the video...very toolish.

  • i agree

  • im thinkin bout going to texas this wknd 2 c them with drowning pool and korn! then of corse hit the strip clubs

  • dont get the swine flu.

    lmfao.

  • Lmao

  • I'm going to see them thursday, can't wait. I just found out that the singer was amish until he was 20, can you imagine what it would be like to hear an electric guitar for the first time after playing an acoustic your whole life.

  • Where to here j was amish? I know he had a very religious background, but had never heard of him being amish.

  • L.O.V.E this song!!! One of my very favorite songs. I get goosebumps when I listen to it.

  • it's not about the animation..its about the feeling the musician transfers through the lyrics of the song and everything else that defines the song.

  • Hey guys enough with the black jokes. I used to have a black friend, until my dad sold him.

  • racist fucking asshole . . . . . .

  • Yeah, I feel you dude. This shit needs to stop. I had a black person in my family tree. He's still hanging there, in fact.

  • Haha.. Good one. lol.

  • Probably my favorite song of all time

  • Isnt this song about his wife killing his baby?

  • you are correct

  • love this song

  • What a trippy video...... Definitely has my props, especially for an animation video

  • I dont agree with the song then lol but very well thought out

  • Definitely a fantastic song!

  • good song

  • Sweet!

  • i love this song!!! but this video makes no sense. doesnt match the lyrics at all.

  • Actually SOADfan the song kinda matches the vid. i mean, do you even now what rapture is?

  • ok explain to me how it makes sense cause i dont see how it does

  • its talking about how his wife due to a mental disorder, heard voices saying her child was not meant to be and to murder it. the "rapture" is represented as the act to kill the child and the "fall to pieces" lyrics are talking about the shattering of the familie's peace and happiness. the videos itself is representing that voice telling her to kill the baby as the shadow and the continuios falling down frm heaven is representing his attempts to find peace after this mishap and failing miserably.

  • in the song hurt u cominted on how it made since ... its not suposed to the song is bout hes wife going syko the vid is posed to reflect the sykodikniss and if u whatch the one that kept trying to fly up was him but kept being draged

  • Im steve.... and I have a boner

  • How can you talk to God

When you won't talk to me?lyrics from talking to god on vol 2 what u guys have to say bout that song i stand by my belief religion is bs

  • its suposed to be the devil.....in the song he discises himself as god and tells the woman to kill her son

  • Comment removed

  • No it's not if you knew about the band all the songs from Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 are about his life. Its about his wife killing his son and she thinks jesus told her too, That it was wrong to keep it!!

  • yea thats what the song is about but that didnt happen to him.... dork.. how old are u 12

  • well when i read their biography he said the first two albums were about his life

  • Isn't it funny how religion is supposed to bring peace and love, but everyone here argues- when your cares should supposidly be left go?

  • Comment removed

  • what are the black things supposed to be?

  • I think they're shadows. O.o

  • racist prick...

  • Why do all black people have nightmares?

    - white man killed the only one who had a dream.

  • ZOMGHolyPriestZOMG....

    Grow up, dick face!!!!

  • woow *O* thank you soo much =D

  • your not thinking outside the box nascarnate43, your being just as angry as the man who was cursing god...he didnt go against religion, he was just confused in the song...

  • awsome song by and awsome band but i have to say religion is bullshit "why are we fearing a god who died." and "She swore she heard the voice of jesus

Telling her "it was wrong to keep it""

if there was a god we wouldnt have people killing there babies

  • u are a fucking ignorant moron

  • and it makes you just as ignorant to put down any persons opinion.

  • Anyone who thinks they know anything at all enough to put down any religion is the truly ignorant one.

  • This video fucking rocks!!!

  • ignorant fuck

  • they cut out some of the song =(

  • what's this song about? =)

    i love hurt!

    an amazing band lml

  • it is about a girl that kills her baby because she didn't have an abortion

  • thanks =)

    now i get it ^^

  • the rapture is directly linked to Christianity

the song is about taking 1 step forward 2 steps back basically ;)

or maybe 2 steps forward and 1 step back is more accurate

    nice try though, ;)

  • this isnt the full song. go listen to it it clearly says "she swore she heard the voice of Jesus telling her it was wrong to keep it. one more thing it looked like me back when it breathed rest in peace." at the end

  • I thought you were joking

  • Thanks for the love superaccount

I wasn't mocking God in fact I believe Christianity has much to offer, I am mocking christians and how with all we have learned by means of psychology, one could think that people are supposed to abandon their beliefs in one religion to find salvation through Christianity. Why do Christians think that their way is the only way is simply all I was asking. It would be decietful of God to allow all the hundreds of other religions

  • no God has has given us the truth and if your intentions are pure he will lead you there

    other religions are knock offs

they are an attempt to capitalize on the wisdom from God for the purpose of deceit

    its obviously very effective ;)

  • Personally, i think Tool is better on average, but Hurt has a couple powerhosue songs that i love. This happens to be one of them.

  • I don't think this band can be compared to Tool. They are each their own. You can't deny J's musical talents. He grew up in a home that denied he the rights to listen to rock and roll. He enrolled in college when he was 14. I love tool for their own. This band deserves to be heard and discovered by more!!

  • I need a Christian to answer this:

Why do you think that God blessed the West with the correct religion, however decieved the rest of the world with other faiths? People are only a product of their environment, so naturally if i was raised a buddhist, odds are I am staying that way. A just God is one that is impartial, however obviously the west was "favored"

  • Whatever ur god must be go than on eastern belifs, seriosley. Must be right, do u realize this song mocks western religon and is about a death of a child and not religion its self, i could curse or swear, but obviousley ur blind, like fighting a cripled person, come on, u that blind, open ur eyes!!!!!!!!!!

  • God did not decieve anyone, man chose to belive and or create as they wanted. There is no favoring, and who is to say if someone was never exposed to christianity it means they have no hope, God is much more just than that.

  • I will mock the first guy who replied to you:

Eventhough you make sense, and aren't being rude, you are a penis- let me troll you- you suck for thinking differently than me, ha ha!

  • God really didnt do anything. Christians probably moved to the west on their own accord and christianity spread there. and so on with other religions. So yea most kids grow up with their parents religion. that is unchangable. but honestly, you cant blame God for that. and dont tell me there isnt one christian where you live :/(not trying to offend).

  • amazing band

  • 10000 viewer!!! WOOT!

  • This is my favorite song from Hurt and seen them live once. They were realy good.

  • how do so many people not like hurt? they are not an undertake of tool or douchbags or whatever. look up some more of their music because almost anyone who knows hurt would agree with me that this isnt their best song.

  • Well I like this song!

  • wtf? Of curse this band is fucking ace, but only someone bat shit would try an knocke Tool. You don't have to go for their spiritual aspect or any of that philosophical stuff, just listen to the spar edge of their music. The melodies and vocals are sick.

  • when is the next cd coming out? lol

  • Seen HURT live at the annaul krock bbq amazing !!Memorial Day weekend !

  • When were these guys on tour with Alice N Chains?

  • Your stupid. Like don't hate Tool at all but hurt isn't no "undertake" there songs have way more meaning in them

  • I love the way the video, computer generated and drawn, accents the music very well.

  • haha i toatly agree!!

  • why do ppl always complain about music

if you dont like, then dont listen

    personally i like them,

and if you dont, then go watch whatever you do like, and stop complaining

and to all these ppl arguing on here

    remember this:

    arguing on the intern
