I bought a coyote parka on ebay for 300 bucks four years ago. It had already been in a "lovingly pre-owned" status and I must have worn it every other day from mid October until March. The pelts are still soft and supple and it is so warm, not to mention the fact that it is uber chic and fashionable.

I guess by the time it is completely worn out, I will have saved enough to buy me a second hand car!

Fur is natural, environmentally friendly, and affordable!

@furisnatural Thank you furisnatural. I abhor fur, but I think the truly responsible choice for those who want to wear it is to buy it second-hand! A coyote parka would costs thousands of dollars because they need to slaughter about 4 or 5 just to make one parka. The costs of hiring the sickos to do it, the electricity costs of anally or vaginally electrocuting it to death (which has been outlawed in NY state this year by the way), someone to skin it, tack it, etc. etc. Thanks for mentioning.

I live in Los Angeles, there is no reason to wear fur, even in the winter. Why not go to a 2nd hand store and buy a fur everyone? Some of the thrift stores here in LA (and I'm sure in your town too!) have genuine fur garments for a fraction of the cost! I mean, fur is tacky as hell, and I think it makes women look like drag queens, but if you must do it, why not at a thrift store? Benefits - you're recycling the pelts of unfortunate animals (no new ones die), it's cheap, vintage clothes have character. Donate the money you save to your favorite charity. Be humane.
