I'm with celtickool on this one. I know alot of women in my life who are my age (late 30s) who date younger all the time. They "consider" dating a guy my age but that's the cutoff point usually. They'll date a range from 25-their own age generally and rarely older. I think it's the glamorization of the "cougar"/"desperate housewives" thing. It's trendy now. I do have a close friend who was the same way but then she met a man who was 60 and is totally into him. That's rare though.

Actually this question is anwsered by a simple math equation. The youngest you can date without it being creepy is determined by your age divided by 2, plus 7. x = (a/2)+7
As an example, a 25 year old can date a 19 year old. 25 / 2 = 12.5 12.5 + 7 = 19.5
A 44 year old can date a 29 year old. 44 / 2 = 22 22 + 7 = 29
HERE ARE 2 RULES:
1. IS IT LEGAL. No 38 dating 15, look up the age of consent laws in your state or province. You don't want to get in trouble.

Im 37 soon 38 and I never have so many invitations from 25,24,23, even 22 and 21 year old... and they are flirting a lot!!! they are way more confident than ever.

I'm absolutely bonkers for a guy who's 22 years older than me. I sense that something is there... at least a mutual attraction. I don't think anyone can judge if someone is too old or young if they're not in the situation. I agree with the rest - it's whatever feels right, not the years apart.

sorry, but that comment about a 27 year old guy not being able to marry is bullshit. My dad got married at 26 and he is still with my mom after 16 years of happy marriage. (btw my dad was 27 when I was born)

my fiance is 19 and i'm two years younger than him and i love him he is so sweet he loves to cuddle with me and plus he did not have a girlfriend before me so i love him and we met in highschool so we are in love and getting married this fall

I had a guy with a son who's my age hitting on me :S I like older men, but I felt like that was way too old.
For me, I like the 6-8 years older range. My sister likes 2-3 years older; my parents were 9 years apart. My grandma married a guy a month younger than herself. It's about finding a compatible person and being flexible.

Theres some guys in 21-41 age group that are fat, ugly losers with no ambitions. But I know a few guys over the age of 40...OMG, they work out everyday, got the bomb jobs and houses, fly cars...

I've always heard it's acceptable to date 2 years younger, or 5 years older. But that only really applies in your 20's

Hahahaaaa, this is so nutty.Face it people, we don't all think the same.some like old, some like others in their age bracket. There is no wrong in age difference anymore-as long as it's not child molesting. What matters is how comfortable you feel-if you doubt and question it then chances are it's not right for you. Chemistry is big. I have to disagree that older men won't cheat on you-they are still capable, just as women are. Just love who you're gonna love and be happy.

I see how much attention girls get in their early 20s, if a woman isn't married by the age of 30 then she did something wrong. After the age of 26 women start to look old and less attractive, plus giving birth past the age of 30 brings increased health risks.

Whats your problem? That equation is merely a guideline to what is considered 'creepy' that happens to work at pretty well in case studys. See the keyword used there? It is not a rule on what should or shouldn't be allowed, just an easy way to see the range when the age difference begins to become creepy to most people.

Actually this question is anwsered by a simple math equation. The youngest you can date without it being creepy is determined by your age divided by 2, plus 7. x = (a/2)+7
As an example, a 25 year old can date a 19 year old. 25 / 2 = 12.5 12.5 + 7 = 19.5
A 44 year old can date a 29 year old. 44 / 2 = 22 22 + 7 = 29
