Brent's voice is totally amazing and the rest of the band is incredible as well. They are the real thing....they don't fake anything and their shows are unbelievable!!! Love their music. On the other hand, Nickelback uses their old songs as blueprints for success. That's why they have so many stripper songs. That sounded really corny, big time, but in my oppinion, and my band's oppinion, is that the album fits the deffinition of this generation. At times like these, there are teens living without fathers, and supporting their families at 16, and the album fits the way the they feel about that. Intense.

I went to the Skillet/Puddle of Mudd/Shinedown concert in Youngstown,Ohio.Shinedown and Skillet rocked live...Puddle of Mudd wasnt as good,but they atleast put on a decent show.
just an fyi to the people bashing him for talking about his way of writing... the only remaining original members are him and the drummer...every legit band has a leader for a musical direction, or else everything will go haywire, not to mention how long it would take for everyone to agree on every little input...having seen them live, they sound incredible and they are a tight band...the job they do is more than satisfactory and they've earned their spot in music history imo

His stage performance is great, very interactive with the crowd and i hope that never changes. ive seen shinedown 3 times going on 4 and 5 in the next few months. i am going to meet them for the first time in a month with my vip package. check out my second chance video from when i saw them in peoria, illinois, it is one of the best speeches that ive ever heard.

I think it is a "8mm" kinda reference. The kid was kidnapped and probably used as a sex slave, then the black version of Nick Cage comes and saves her, which is alot happier ending than the real "8mm" : /

@MyownPrison89 I totally agree that Leave a Whisper was their best album and this one more mainstream, but they are writing and doing things the way they want to. On the other hand, Nickelback uses their old songs as blueprints for success. That's why they have so many stripper songs. If you're a true song writer, you write what you want and how you want no matter if people will like it more or less.

Well, let it be known t, Ibelive that your dreams have come true. This cd will still be in every car of this genertaion, because every were I look, The album is plastered to fit the way people think. That sounded really corny, big time, but in my oppinion, and my band's oppinion, is that the album fits the deffinition of this generation. At times like these, there are teens living without fathers, and supporting their families at 16, and the album fits the way the they feel about that. Intense.

I myself have lost many people in my life, and this album emphasizes the pain, throws it back at you, and then (especially in this song's case) tells you to get your act together, and get back up and running, so that the people you care about stop worrying, and you can take care of them.

I went to the Skillet/Puddle of Mudd/Shinedown concert in Youngstown,Ohio.Shinedown and Skillet rocked live...Puddle of Mudd wasnt as good,but they atleast put on a decent show.

just an fyi to the people bashing him for talking about his way of writing... the only remaining original members are him and the drummer...every legit band has a leader for a musical direction, or else everything will go haywire, not to mention how long it would take for everyone to agree on every little input...having seen them live, they sound incredible and they are a tight band...the job they do is more than satisfactory and they've earned their spot in music history imo

He fired the bass player and Jasin left. And now he makes shitty music and that is your Shinedown low down without looking too deep into it. Brent fired them by having their manager tell them they "Will be relieved of their duties in the band". Friends dont do that. And if im going to backstab a friend id do it myself not be a little pussy. There ya go Brent cant wait to see you in the local clubs in a couple years making like 50 bucks.

definitely one of the wisest. His stage performance is great, very interactive with the crowd and i hope that never changes. ive seen shinedown 3 times going on 4 and 5 in the next few months. i am going to meet them for the first time in a month with my vip package. check out my second chance video from when i saw them in peoria, illinois, it is one of the best speeches that ive ever heard.

Funnily enough what got me into them was their first album, although the time I discovered them was after their third album had been released, so I'm in a weird situation. I do like their third album, but Second Chance never struck as a stand out song, but then again I am not an emo. Just to ask what is your favourite song.
