I thought Ecco disappeared in the last game? IIRC in Tides of Time he didn't follow the Asterite's orders to destroy the Time Machine in Atlantis. He used it instead of destroying it, and the game ended with a cliffhanger without explaining what happened to him. I'm guessing that this isn't the same Ecco from the last two games.

They should have made this game pick up from where the last game left off instead of using a completely new story. I want to know what happened to the original Ecco.

This is the one i had for ps2 and it was kinda freaky with the whole storyline...at the end where you go in the heart of the one guy was whacky and i hate the level where a giant eel chases you... But the game overall was amazing!

The graphics are cool for such an old game and the scenery breathtaking in some places like the underwater city, it is very dark in some places and very difficult to pass (at least for me) but could not stop playing it just to see what was next, one of the few games I can actually say I beat my brothers in...:-)

The music is also very cool, the first Echo is still my favorite though.

I remember when this came out for the Dreamcast. Fun game but really eerie odd and almost Gigeresque at some moments. The mashup with such a bizarre Evil with the 80's crystals dolphins and peace themes really did get trippy. Still trying to work out if it was a good or bad trip.

I love this game, the setting was nice and i really loved the music. i bought it in 2002 for PS3 played it for a while and found myself stuck at some point. i decided to try the game again 2 years later or so and eventually i beat the game.

It's one of the hardest games i ever played. mostly because of the camera which was pain in the .. sometimes. overall a great game which i wont ever forget ;)

I remember this game, and it was difficult for me too. Really when controlling Ecco it takes some time. Nonetheless I had finally beat this game when I was in high school (years ago) It took me some weeks, but I was determine to beat it, and everyday I would come home playing it. I would have never beaten it if not following from a walkthrough a gamer had written. I followed his notes everyday, and from then on, I had finally beaten it *whew*
