I just think they couldve made the ed cooler. I mean the big ending to the void was a quarter page hammer splat? As impressive as that final attack was due to the size of the bolt, the scene was way to sudden in my opinion. They should have extended siege to 5 issues to do justice in my opinion. I don't get why people are bitching about Sentry being beaten. It has always been said that his powers vary depending on his mental state. He WANTED to die. Marvel is simply trying to stay in line with their characters. They used one of Sentry's few weaknesses while staying in line with how he acts. Sentry's not dead and it's an overall good ending to Siege.
Sentry WILL be back, he's one of the few true immortals. But when and how different he'll be different is why we keep reading.

Sentry was a very complicated character that was shrouded in pain. In the end realizing that he could not control the power and the extent of the damage that he is capable of causing the Earth, the Bob saw only one way to end all of the suffering. It was a fitting end to the character. Great Vid!!!

Man, I can't put my finger on it but let's try...Sentry's glowing black tribal designy stuff floating through the air, Dead Odin's blast of red bull giving all the heroes 'wings' ...helicarrier doing damage to the indestructible sentry...apparently weakend...I was weakend by this anti-climactic crap. Angel of death? Felt like a dc story. After such a wonderful run, that in my mind started in Civil war, I'm scared of what comes after this. .

The fight was good, but I really feel the only way the Sentry should have died was to kill himself, where he really wanted it, confronted with what he did. Just my opinion.

For example he has telepathy (top level), magnetism, and reality-warping capability and he yet gets into fist fight with Hulk. See what I mean. So you can't really use Onslaught as comparison with anything
@DodgerRiley yeah bad writing did serve against onslaught but he was the same sorta character - some really powerful villain made for the heroes to team up and take down , he was written extremely badly but his power level was evident

That's just telepathy. Sentry had powers that went far beyond the "superman" abilities. Sentry story has obvious analogies to Dark Phoenix, but I Sentry is even more dangerous and powerful than Phoenix
@AdiF50Ronaldo7 Also, Galactus is powerful indeed, but so is Sentry. I'm not saying it would be easy, but remember that Galactus does have weaknesses. His power decreases with use unless he consumes planet's energy. So, from beginning of fight Galactus only gets weaker. Also, Galactus does have a form of morality that prevents him from using full power (Secret Wars, oath to SS), Sentry/Void does not.
@AdiF50Ronaldo7 I'm not saying Galactus does not have monumental power even in weak state. It is just that the Sentry has greater power. We never really got to see the limits of his abilities. Some of which defy description. For instance, can he even die. He seemed to simply resurrect himself (Morgan Le Fay) or resurrect other people. Not to mention what affect woudl Void's tendrils have on Galactus (psychic attack as opposed to physical)

In original Mini-series you can definitely tell that Thor was intimidated by Sentry. Galactus eats planets for sustenance. Sentry has power of a million exploding suns. I know it's not literal.
the fight thor against sentry was great, i always wanted to see that fight and the end of the fight was great, but why the hell not appear green goblin in the fight. i was waiting a secret plan of osborn that involve green goblin but he just lose the fight. that was dissapointed.

The sentry has survived being imploded on a molecular level so ''If he wants to'' he can come back. Personally i need a break from old million exploding suns so im good with the ending but i thought they should of made the fight a little longer or made a invention to beat him.

Honestly, Norn storns + Helicarrier + angry Thor would STILL not be enough to kill Sentry. I think the reason he "died" was because he truly wanted to. They were not going to kill him, so he had to freak out one last time at the end, in order to insure that they would strike him down.
@Godzillabatman Here's a point I think all super hero fans should learn, any hero can be killed by anything if Marvel wants them to be. The Sentry is dead ( I hate to think so, but until proven differently, he's gone) by Thor's hand because it played to the story. His home, his family, gone by Sentry's hand, so it's only appropriate that he fall to Thor. Read Fallen Sun, I think you'll feel better, but Lindy being dead doesn't fill me with a lot of hope for his return.

Thor won by bfr and wouldve won if he didn't have his 60 second limitation. Hulk takes them down because of plot.

The fight was good, but I really feel the only way the Sentry should have died was to kill himself, where he really wanted it, confronted with what he did. Just my opinion.

@AdiF50Ronaldo7 WEll Onsluahgt is kind of a bad example. There were so many problems associated with the character I don't know where to begin. For example he has telepathy (top level), magnetism, and reality-warping capability and he yet gets into fist fight with Hulk. See what I mean. So you can't really use Onslaught as comparison with anything

@DodgerRiley yeah bad writing did serve against onslaught but he was the same sorta character - some really powerful villain made for the heroes to team up and take down , he was written extremely badly but his power level was evident

@AdiF50Ronaldo7 Sentry's power was far greater than Onslaught. In original miniseries Sentry was able to contact Xavier very easily and get past his psychic shields effortlessly. That's just telepathy. Sentry had powers that went far beyond the "superman" abilities. Sentry story has obvious analogies to Dark Phoenix, but I Sentry is even more dangerous and powerful than Phoenix

@AdiF50Ronaldo7 Also, Galactus is powerful indeed, but so is Sentry. I'm not saying it would be easy, but remember that Galactus does have weaknesses. His power decreases with use unless he consumes planet's energy. So, from beginning of fight Galactus only gets weaker. Also, Galactus does have a form of morality that prevents him from using full power (Secret Wars, oath to SS), Sentry/Void does not.

@AdiF50Ronaldo7 I'm not saying Galactus does not have monumental power even in weak state. It is just that the Sentry has greater power. We never really got to see the limits of his abilities. Some of which defy description. For instance, can he even die. He seemed to simply resurrect himself (Morgan Le Fay) or resurrect other people. Not to mention what affect woudl Void's tendrils have on Galactus (psychic attack as opposed to physical)

@DodgerRiley still i think galactus would easily beat sentry/void , i also think ss can assuming its fair , their power levels are quite a bit better - would be cool though , though sentry is often written more like a plot device where everyones scared of him except thor ,and hes more powerful than anyone else - you can see why alot of people hate him because hes just made to be to powerful

@AdiF50Ronaldo7 People have a tendency to overestimate the SS's abilities. It has already been established that Gladiator is morepowerful than SS. even Thor. In original Mini-series you can definitely tell that Thor was intimidated by Sentry. Galactus eats planets for sustenance. Sentry has power of a million exploding suns. I know it's not literal.

the fight thor against sentry was great, i always wanted to see that fight and the end of the fight was great, but why the hell not appear green goblin in the fight. i was waiting a secret plan of osborn that involve green goblin but he just lose the fight. that was dissapointed.

i'm really disappointed. Dark Reign, The List, and Siege were such great story lines that had sooo much potential. Guess my hopes were a little to high. Goodbye Dark Avengers and Iron Patriot.

The sentry has survived being imploded on a molecular level so ''If he wants to'' he can come back. Personally i need a break from old million exploding suns so im good with the ending but i thought they should of made the fight a little longer or made a invention to beat him.

i dont know what everyones complaining about. It did take a huge team effort to kill sentry. And it wasn't a lame ending to siege. Besides it wasnt even a lame ending to sentry....he beat everyone n then wanted to die and the avengers kill him...oh right, hes not dead. Hes survived being inside the sun before, so most likely hes not dead
Thor just knocked him out for a while.

@LrdScorpion Lol, us Thor fans through such a bitch fit the writer actually commented on this... saying the two are on even grounds and while Thor got bloodied, he wasn't down for the count, Hulk just ran off before he could regain his senses. And the only reason Hulk so easily busted Thor up with his own hammer was no one ever did that before and Thor was surprised.
Sounds like BS to me... BUT it gives us Thor fans enough backing to keep people from using this as a Hulk is stronger example.

Honestly, Norn storns + Helicarrier + angry Thor would STILL not be enough to kill Sentry. I think the reason he "died" was because he truly wanted to. They were not going to kill him, so he had to freak out one last time at the end, in order to insure that they would strike him down.

@Godzillabatman Here's a point I think all super hero fans should learn, any hero can be killed by anything if Marvel wants them to be. The Sentry is dead ( I hate to think so, but until proven differently, he's gone) by Thor's hand because it played to the story. His home, his family, gone by Sentry's hand, so it's only appropriate that he fall to Thor. Read Fallen Sun, I think you'll feel better, but Lindy being dead doesn't fill me with a lot of hope for his return.

Have you seen a scan of Thor holding back and doing nothing the the god killer than got a bit pissed and then knocked him out without holding back? Thor also bullrushed current Quicksilver whom is as fast as radiowaves and shown faster than light reaction. Hulk is barely planetary in power whereas Thor is multi planetary. Thor holds his own against skyfathers and casually beats down heralds.

@12801270able Yeah I read Chaos war I as read the red hulk volums when General Ross or Red Hulk man handled Thor and beat him with his own hammer. also I read when Zues beat the crap out of thor and when juggernaut nearly killed thor and, when Thanos beat down on thor. Hulk as taken down the Sentry and Silver Surfer both of whom are light speed as in way faster than QuickSilver. Hulk was wrecking earthy with his foot steps. he is way beyond a planetary threat. Give credit where credit is due.

@GrimmRebellion Did you read what happened afterwards? Thor beated Rulk and was about to kill him till green Hulk stepped in. Even Rulk admitted that Thor was about to kill him. And Thor beaten Rulk and was about to kill him again in a different fight. Zeus also beated the crap out of Surfer, Hulk, and Galactus. Juggernaut lost to Thor if you read that fight. Thor won by bfr and wouldve won if he didn't have his 60 second limitation. Hulk takes them down because of plot.

@GrimmRebellion Hulks' footsteps almost destroyed the east coast, not the world. But however, when he was fighting Skaar, he was jumping, punching ect yet he didn't match up to his east coast feat. He's planetary. Thor at his max is multi-planetary and can compete against skyfathers and galaxy busters.

He took a step and nearly sunk half the united states ... that is real power. he did not stomp or jump or punch he took a step. I heard people complaining about the whole Helicarrier thing but seeing it now, why the heck not. No has actually been hit by one of those things head on except the Void but in the end it was a severely pissed off Thor would kill him, the Helicarrier just softened him up

Then void came back and Thor was forced to actually kill him then throw him into the sun since void came out again to attack. Since we already know that sentry will reincarnate again the only question is how long. But sentry can be considered one of the rare few god slayer comic book characters at least lol

ok siege was the best comic I readed but this made no sense sentry can't be killed by anything so how did thor kill him? but still I think we didn't see the last of sentry he'll be back I just know it just like Ben Reilly is back alive! but Cloc was talking about sentry was coming back and he have to build a new tower for him and all. so I guess we have to wait and see...
