you have curly kinky hair. have you ever thought of using kinky curly curling custard? It would define the roots if you apply it correctly. Do research on the product and i think you can order it directly from the website and some i mean SOME food stores lol. Overall i think youu are somewhere between 4b and 4c. hope this helps!
I would say you are 4a and some 3c . As far as the puffy roots, honey I have that problem no matter what. If you owant to combat the shrinkage you can diffuse your curls curls and then use a concentrator. I will try and post a video to this one. You can wear twist out or braid outs for more length that will stretch your curls
your hair is just about id say 3c and 4a? :)
