I remeber Steve talking about a recording, I don't rember what song they were recording but Steve said that he just let Sid play then he dubbed over him, He says you mihgt be able to hear Sid's bass in the background but there is no actuall Studio recording with Sid playing, it's either Steve or Glen. But yeah Sid was a mess then he met Nancy, and Johnny Rotten was almost as big a problem as Sid.
@MrKatana1100sz It's actualy might be Steve. They sacked Matlock during the recordings and Sid was so awful Steve did the bass and just dubbed over him. But if you look at the later live shows you can see that Sid got better at playing bass, it was in some book on punk that I read that Sid tryed to learn becasue he wanted to stay in the band so bad.

Love it.Its hard for people to understand just how important this album was at the time; the 1970s was a bad time to be young; strikes, no jobs, disaffected youth. The music charts were stagnating, then along came this, and is resonance was felt right through the bowels of society. It was more than just music; hard to define that today.
Why is it in all Punk band videos there is always discussion on Green Day, Blink, and Sum? They were all punk but moved on. But they still open the doors to kids to punk music.
Sum 41 was my first Punk album I bought back in 2001 and I feel in love with bands like The Exploited etc.
And they all kept the Punk scene alive long enough to draw enough attention to Punk scene to get kids into and bring it back alive.
I'll awlays have a soft spot for bands like Green Day.

What a song; so much energy. You just dont hear that raw energy in music any more:( This is probably my favourite album of all time. The passion is overwhelming. Love it.Its hard for people to understand just how important this album was at the time; the 1970s was a bad time to be young; strikes, no jobs, disaffected youth. The music charts were stagnating, then along came this, and is resonance was felt right through the bowels of society. It was more than just music; hard to define that today.

Why is it in all Punk band videos there is always discussion on Green Day, Blink, and Sum? They were all punk but moved on. But they still open the doors to kids to punk music.
Sum 41 was my first Punk album I bought back in 2001 and I feel in love with bands like The Exploited etc.
And they all kept the Punk scene alive long enough to draw enough attention to Punk scene to get kids into and bring it back alive.
I'll awlays have a soft spot for bands like Green Day.
