so as a sort of big bang theory they use a star as the source of the explosion...but how do they explain where the first star came from? my teacher explained the big bang as 0 = 1-1, nothing became matter and anti matter, but overall its still nothing

Honestly, where is the proof that god exists? The Bible? Oh yes! A book that's been re-written for atleast 2,000 years! So i suppose that's out of the question, any other proof?
Atleast science is able to provide us with proof of certain things. It makes much more sense to believe that we all came as single cell organisms from the primordial pool, rather than to think we popped out of nowhere.

God is now a force? No god is something fearful humans made up to answer questions they were afraid of or could not answer. We have grown past that, we know much more than we did when your god was invented, we are begining to understand how the universe became how it is today and how life evolved (all without having to say "magic did it")

The reason we ask for proof of gods existance is because there has been non given, there is no reason for us to accept the statement "there is a god". I've also never said that I dont believe because i've not seen god, sight is not the only type of test or source of evidence there is.

But when I go for a walk in the park, and marvel at the beauty of the trees, and the flowers, and lay in the grass and stare up at the blue sky; I know there is a God. Do you really believe some man in a lab-coat who says he knows the universe? Just think; Was your whole life just, made by chance? You have no meaning to be alive? Or is there a creator that made you, and loves you.

@FEETAMYBEETA The meaning of life, we give our lives meaning. I get out of bed each morning because one day I will not be able to. Death gives us meaning, gives us purpose. Whats the point of life if after we die we simply turn into spirits and walk around heaven (even though eternal heaven would be more like a punishment) it takes away the reason to do anything. If you think you are going to heaven, why waste your time being on Earth?

I am not supporting religion over science or vice versa but I have studied the bible and come to the conclusion that IF there was a personal god that was describing how man was created, do you honestly think that he would explain star formation and death and how the star is like a factory. No. Early man was very stupid and so IF there was a god, he could used "dirt" as a metaphor for star dust. My thoughts, take it with a grain of salt.
