I don't blame them for not pushing these beasts to the limit. They are collectors items. Once wrapped around a tree it's just a piece of scrap. If I was an owner of one of these with all those negative comments about the driving or being a sissy, i would retire it to my living room for my own pleasure. @jerky18 S1 doesn't have a blow-off as far as i know. the sound you hear is turbo flutter. i've seen a lot of pictures of the engine and no blow off anywhere ;)

@Scouterlad the problem is not the driver, but the spare parts. they don't make race spec parts and there is a limited number of them. the engines are limited to 400bhp for conserving the engines.

this classic rally is not for breaking records, and showing people that they can keep with modern day rally cars, is just to show people what attracted people in past to rally, the noise, the feel the excitment.
