  • hi pawan

    i m thankfull 4 all ur lessons & songs

i dont know where my comment has lost

Can u just do 2 things

Wanna learn 16 beat pattern and main strumming which fits into every song i.e DUuDUuD so on

2nd thing i got my timing right by pendulam action but saw sum1 with timing right but nt pendulam action , he called it as

sincopated or something like dat. Wanna lean ir dont know which stage i m but by listening ,i can play only mukhda of new song

    ur comments matter much

    Romi

  • ho romi.... that is rt u dont always use a pendulum action .... sometimes a particular rhythm demands that to make it easier especially with muting and other effects ....

however, if u r still learning, follow this rule for now, so ur hand action gets perfect .... later on u can try the exceptions!!

  • thank you Sir..!

  • GOOD DAY SIR, PLEAZE UPLOAD SOME VIDEO FOR HAND PICKING & STRUMMING RIGHT FROM BEGINING......

  • check out torrins.com, they have great lessons for all levels :)

  • thanks you my guru for giving us all this valuable info. I am confident that I WILL play good guitar eventually. Please advise as I have a more base voice for singing so songs like "tum bin jaon kahan" etc are high picth for me as my guitars standard tunning (which I do thru a software on my mac computer), what should I do if I have to tune at a lower pitch then how do I do it is there a software or instrument to do it, as I am too new to tune myself

  • tuning the guitar lower is not a great idea .... try singing in lower key ... god bless :)

  • Sir very impressive teaching. Your lessons are really very helpful. Especially the technical lessons like this one proves very effective for learing guitar in a nutshell. Thank for all your efforts...

  • Thank you so much for letting me know about capo, but if I use a capo on first fret and F and Fm will be played at E and Em then in a song where will I play E and Em with the capo (if the song needs F and E chords)

  • that is not possible with capo on 1st fret ...

  • apni ki brite guitar sekhan sir?

  • brite guitar, shey ki go?

  • thxx a alot sir from my heart and happy new year sir :)

  • happy new year and god bless :)

  • please also tell the chords for rafi's song " Mujhe choo rahi hai teri garam saanse "

  • Also I am practising to change between chords at the moment but couple of chords like F and Fm I just cant play them , you mentioned something about using a capo, can you let me know more about this theory.... WILL BE HIGHLY OBLIGED.... ONCE AGIN THANK YOU MY GURU

  • i have shown capo usage in many of my lessons .... for F and Fm, use a capo on 1st fret and play E or Em

  • @pjalan thanks for your help with capo, but if a song has F and E chord and I am using capo on first fret the E will sound F then where will I play E

  • Please advise for the following guru jee:

I basically went to play chords and sing along hindi songs and I have this really wide neck yamaha classical guitar (G-230) with nylon strings, should I buy a normal/ narrow neck guitar with steel strings to play what I mentioned

  • if you want to play heavy rhythm, i think steel will sound better .... wud recommend just going to a store and trying them both out :)

  • A very Happy New year to you. I use to play some basic chords on my yamaha classical guitar (nylon strings ) about 30 years ago by memorizing some hindi songs. Now after all these years I felt have to learn to properly play chords , understand strum patterns so that I can play my fav. hindi songs. I found you on youtube beside some other people but have to say you R MY GURU.... the way you present the tutorials or video sessions and have started learning from you.

  • thanks for your warm feedback... god bless :)

  • happy new year sir. and thanx for this great lesson.

  • Sir,i have been watching your lessons for quite sometime and religiously followed your words.I believe you are the best teacher i have ever had.

Sir ,I am playing guitar for last 3 years and i have a question for you.I am a born lefty but when i play guitar i play like right handed.I dont how it came to me.Everything else i do like a lefty. So is there a problem for me playing complex strumming patterns?

  • that shouldnt be the case babun, why dont you just try playing as a lefty though?

  • @pjalan Sir ,are you saying this might cause problem in future? I am now used to it and already played for 3 years...is it possible for me to switch now?

  • Great lesson sir... this is what most of the intermediate players need..!

  • thanks, govindo!

  • thank you for the lesson:) had a query, how to figure out if the song is being played in like 7th chord? and even the 5th chord i.e. some power chord??

  • will cover 7th chords and other such chords in future lessons ...

  • BTW New year started on a happy note. Pun intended. Hope you have a wonderful, major, sharp, key year ahead of you full of great progressions :-)

  • thanks, best wishes to you as well !!

  • Good one again. My 2c and you touched on this as well that it is imp to play exact same notes of the song. Sometimes we play notes from different key. So always play along with the song using a device/player that has A-B repeat function. Sadly iPhone,iPod,iPad does not have this feature. And I am sure you are going to cover C Am F G connection i.e chord progression in next lesson.

  • C key was covered in this, next one coming up in G most likely ...
