That may be, but there is a plethora of movies out there that are still referenced to this day and they're older than Plato, take The Matrix for instance. It's never about the age of the subject parodied but the appeal, now if it is parodied to often then it's all spark and no boom. However since I haven't seen that many myself based on Cloverfield I enjoyed the joke much more.
A commendable job; I believe its satirical virtues appeal to me, now that such a film is old and humor upon it is not so often found.

Yea "Cloverfield" is pretty old news now and a hard film to create a parody of.
