Its awesome. Cannot wait for VW to bring it back to the USA/North America. I want it to continue to have its conservative looks. If I want blinged out, I can always get a BMW/Mercedes/Hyndai, etc. It looks as much like a Passat, as an A8 looks like an A6, and an 750 looks like a 535, etc. Its a corporate thing. I love my '04 V8 Nocturne Aubergine Phaeton, alas, VW has discontinued that color.

It probably didn't do so well, just because it's volkswagen branded. If it was audi or bentley branded I bet it would do well... but people forget that VW owns audi and bentley, to name a few, so I think it's time phaeton got some respect, as it is more than capable against any rivals on this class, be it continetal or A8s...

Indeed, I have been in a Bentley Continental Flying Spur once (which costs two times as much) but wasn't very impressed. When you keep in mind the price tag of the Phaeton, you can argue it is one of the best bangs for the buck. Especially in the second hand market :)
