  • Good demonstration.......

The Solar Panels Manufacturers are keeping the prices very high and slowly lowering it down…

keeping demand and supply with high profits.

Your Only Option is to Build You own Solar Panels

There is an Engineer from Chicago that explains it All

You can find his web site by Searching Google for...

  • good to know

  • informative video...=)

  • available for cell phone ;)

  • BAKING SODA also good for cleaning the battery terminals and connections. it eats the crusty acid deposits :)

  • Baking Soda, I will keep some handy. Acid is not good, Id rather have baking soda in my face than battery acid.

  • Hello there,

I was given a photovoltaic module, brand-new. Although the top resin is cracked, it works, but since I am not an expert I need your help. It's a Tyco Electronics, produces 36, 6 Volts, 7.5 Amperes at 238 Watts; it's big. Is it normal that it won't light a 12v car bulb? It lights Led bulbs though. I was thinking of using it indoor under my loft's window, it's as big as the module. What parts do I need to get it working? What size battery and inverter and other things would I need?

  • No, just wear safety goggles to avoid acid in the eye. At worst, just rinse the eye with water, or get an eyewash kit before you work on this stuff.

  • 138,551 videos uploaded?? 0_o?!?!!

  • @FunkyMeltonBass69 Then the acid continues to eat away at your eyes, until you go blind? lol

  • this guy is prob. has a warrant out for his arrest! lol

  • Why don't you just use a car battery instead?

  • @zenky2000 Because they cannot handle the deep cycling recharging process. They are for explosive power/cranking engines, etc

  • @djmontana2000 +1. To add further comment, a 12V 300W inverter (small) running from a standard 300CCA car battery lasts about 20 minutes. They just can't hack the current drain.

  • @zenky2000 6 volt battery has more amps , its about pushing amps in dc , when you run them in series it multiplies the amps ///// ive only been learning a few days ; ]

  • @PatriotRadioMilitia When you wire batteries in PARALLEL it increases the amps. When you wire them in SERIES it increases the volts

  • @keepdancingmaria thus taking 4 6 volt cell 2 in series then in parallel to get 12 volts with more amps, im getting it .

  • @zenky2000 watch?v=gTT5Nh1jwy

  • Interesting stuff... a little off the topic of solar panel installation, but good none the less.

  • Uh, forget about "neutralizing" acid with a base to save your bacon. Wash out your eyes and face with LOTS of water, like immediately, with the flow rate of at least a garden hose full on.

That is why you have safety showers in a chemistry lab, not boxes of baking soda.

  • The Hindenburg did not burn up because of hydrogen gas. It's outer shell was coated with aluminum oxide and iron oxide. the hydrogen gas would have left the blimp before it would have burned.

  • need at least 4kw minimum for an average of 6 hrs a day.

can anyone suggest a solar system to accomplish this?

your input would be highly appreciated blak2060@yahoo.com

  • @FunkyMeltonBass69 ..Well, nothing is safe, but.. it is very mild stuff compared to battery acid. if you have the bad luck to blow up a battery and burn your hands or eyes you will see my point of having some nearby!

good for tooth brushing and may cure cancer by disrupting bad cell division..too, get the aluminum free version for internal use REDS???

  • any buddy Know How much EDISON will Charge ? To chain The Meter on or House FROM the NEW SMART METER TO A METER THAT Solar OR WIND will work with ? SMART METERS DON'T RUN BACKWORZ!!!! ty for this Video it is good to have more than one life line ! ty

  • @irocx29 last years digital recording edison meters were about $ 200 I dont know if smart meters will record grid tied solar output or not?? I would hope so, we have dozens of grid tie systems and a smart meter program has started around here... watch out for cell phone type radiation during smart meter communication phase, yikes. you can hook up a home monitor for power output. search TED energy monitor... best.. RG

  • this bloke is a total idiot

  • @jonnypaget

Not total! go back to moms basement and turn on the lights..

  • They originally didnt want to use hydrogen gas for the Hindenburg but the USA had a monopoly on Helium at the time and as always were a suspicious nation. Also the Germans used wrong materials on the coating.

  • @alex007152 yep silvery aluminum oxide shtuff, an excellent solid rocket fuel, good one, Germany

  • heý_ÃnYÓNé_wåÑñá_chÂt_wïth_mÈ_ì_fEÉl_sõ_lõÑëlÿ_tóÐáý═

  • @CutiyyFriedaji930 nope....

  • Important.., do not use baking soda for neutralizing sulfuric acid.Instead, use plenty of water. Water neutralizes this acid a lot safer.

  • Actually tdougherty08 he is correct about the baking soda. I use these acids cleaning minerals and baking soda is the professionals neutralizer's for acids. Probably what your hospital would administer in solution form.

  • this video was not very helpful I now know no more than before I seen it. Check out my channel if you would like to learn something about solar.

  • I think he looks like the guy who was busted trying to pickup an underaged person online on msnbc to catch a predator.

  • "We know how that went..."

  • Yeah I wanna neutralize my eyes w/baking soda !

  • lol, baking soda in your eyes XP?

  • John R. Christy has been accused of recanting his position that climate change is neither Anthropogenic nor Catastrophic, but he didn’t. He used two independent data sets, weather balloon and satellite. (see links in my about me) Later he only stated that there was some anthropogenic impact that could not be predicted 100 years out, but that what we’re doing was good for the plants.

  • Why not use gel filled batteries. No spill, no danger.

  • This video is great. See my home energy stuffif you like SOLAR POWER. Merry Christmas Y'all!

  • dumb ass! if you get acid on your skin and try and neutralize it with a base it only makes things worse because neutralization creates heat. you have to dilute the shit out of the acid with water

  • @THEHODSONATOR like i diluted your mom

  • @RandomConcepts You're right, my bad. Sometimes, it just slips.

  • Go for it Barry! The only difference in men and boy's is the price of their toy's

  • ************ Very Important Safety *************

But Until Now Most of the Inverter Around the World Still Can't Pass The RCD Most Inverter Are Problem With RCD Safety .I Have an Experiment For About 12 Years Already until Today About 16 Inverter Experiment Most Of Them Are Not Pass Home RCD ???? It Was Unsafe.

  • Make sure you inform people, that you can wire batteries 3 ways. the best is to use the neg from the rear and the postive from the front for your load side. that way all the batteries get the same amount of charge and drain.

  • Why aren't you using sealed batteries?

  • this guy is a hack lol, under-wire miser, dont do what this dude does. He has bad habit of using wires way too small for what hes doing! its like he shows how to do things that will end in injury. he looks kinda greasy too, like sneaky. you must use conductors that are large enough to carry the amps in DC wiring! crucial did you see how skinny the battery cables he was using were? not good ya need at least 1/0 for batteries not awg 4 lol they also need to be matched not

    scrap wired together lol

  • wow like infowarsOcom

  • Why don't you just use a 12v battery instead of connecting 2 6v together.

  • @pinkyzoey

because of liftable weight and management considerations !

  • Comment removed

  • @pinkyzoey thanks, there are several types of batteries these 6 volt lead acid units have 225 amp hours of storage, and are low cost golf cart batts.. combining in series gets you to 12 volts for this inverter. you can use similar 12 volt batteries, but combining them in parallel to get the same amp hours can lead to inefficient charging as the individual cells may not charge evenly.. also the cost goes up, first system training batts. are more forgiving of bad maintenance RG

  • @pinkyzoey 1. The biggest 12V batteries readily available are around 200A and weight 70kg. 2. If 1 cell goes on a 12V battery the whole battery is toast (and 12V is expensive). 3. Really big systems use multiple 2V batteries in series!

  • @pinkyzoey because 2 6 volt cells will put out more amps. the bigger the cell, the more amps.

  • @pinkyzoey maybe the inverter may require 18 v.. thats the only thing i think for that idea,. and 2-12v may lead you to a higher voltage..

  • @pinkyzoey

6 volt batterys last longer then 12 volt when you drain then like on a rainy day or at night when you use more power then the pannels are getting

  • @pinkyzoey they store more energy this way. not more voltage more AMPs..

  • @pinkyzoey Because they last longer. Isnt that the whole "free" energy concept? Idependancy?

  • You look creepy. Like a... Pedophile

  • did the Hindenburg blow up... no its shell burnt off and it hit the ground. get your facts straight

  • thanks for the vid

  • The stupicity of some of these post. Yeah don.t put baking soda in your eye?? What the hell you gonna do leave the battery acid in your eye? Baking soda is one of the most inert and safe subxtances found anywhere! It NEUTRALIZES ACID STUPID!

  • Anyone can give me an advice on what battery to choose? If I have a 144 Watt panel what capacity battery should I choose? Let's say that I want to store all day's energy. What if I wanted to store energy from two days? I don't know much about batteries, and how to understand those units (amps, or amp hours), can someone explain the math to me. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    P.S. Panel 36 Multi-Cryatalline Silicon 6x6 cells, 18v, 8amps.

  • Facepalm @ wall of text ... ah u can delete it ^^, for the rest nice tutorial

  • I have a New B question. I have two 6 V Batteries that i connected in series to create my 12 V. Each battery has 242AH @ 20hrs ,my question is since each battery has 242Ah, and are connected in series do i now have 484 Ah @ 20hrs? Any help will work. Ozzy.

  • @67bird463 Uh no, 2 batteries in series give u 12v indeed, but to double the amps u must put the batteries parralel. which results in a 6 volt output on both. What u are looking for is the 1st and 2th kirchhof law. Sum of all amps = 0, Sum of all voltage = 0, have a looksy on wiki. And check -> Serie and parallel circuits on wiki, just skip to the battery section. So for double the amp + the volts, u need 4 batteries, 2 parallel series.

  • its spelles xantrex

  • please stop beffore you hurt some-one you lack knowlege in what you teach-are you a home -depot worker-seriously please be a man and remove these vids before some-one gets hurt

  • how many car battery to have 220 volt

  • he hes got a license it should be revokd asap before he hurts some-one

  • this guys been drinkin to much kool aid

  • Do not listen to this guy. he is dangerous and a hack.

  • Expertvillage pisses me off. They say oh we're going to show you how to.... but they never f*cking do! I don't give a sh*t about safety or what brands to use! Could some please just f*cking show me step by f*cking step how to connect a wind turbine or solar panel to a battery bank. I've spent 3 f*cking days trying to figure it out, but nobody shows how!!!

  • @mysteriousperson2 I have a video to show you how to hook everything up. thanks jeff, Missouri Wind and Solar.

  • @jeffmolly1 you have nothing you nuts

  • @mysteriousperson2 (money money money mooooooneeeeey)

  • "If you look down inside the battery, you can get sulfuric fumes in your eyes and pit your corneas!"

  • @skunkapotamus Go get a life. I will show what ever I want, and I dont care about your eyes. jeffmolly1 IWe here are gods we know every thing. we are better than you fools.

  • @CRP304 Oh really? Well in that case, Ill take a double cheeseburger and a large fry.

  • There are words across the whole picture so I can't see the video.

  • I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas....

  • it didnt show the installation... huhuhu. wrong title.

  • Your connection wires are way too small of a Gage on your batteries....

  • Battery desulfators electrically shake the sulfate crystals that build up on the lead plates of a flooded lead acid battery over a period of time. Before desulphators batteries with sulfate build up would effectively be considered dead. Some customers even leave their desulfator permamently connected to prevent desulfation from occurring. Battery will last three times as long with a desulfator. I use the BD-2. Good video thanks

  • i hope you can help. i'm building my panels. should, i build the panel to 18v or 12v. i'm told 18v for the panels. what do you suggest?

    thanks for the ear

  • mAN I HATE THESE COMMERCIALS.

  • Always a good idea to vent battery boxes, passively or preferably with small fans; to aid gas dispersion and also a moderate cooling effect of the ambient air.

And also, a very good idea to wear gloves! holy cow he's all over those batteries.

  • baking soda is soda ash.a pool supply is a better source.very cheep also they have d.e.works very good too.

  • OK click my screen name to get the playlist for all these mini clips. much better in order

    Yikes

  • nice video but too short

  • You may want to correct this video the two by-products of acid battery charging are: Hydrogen Gas and Chlorine Gas

Now Hydrogen gas is not toxic to humans but mixed with air it will burn/explode if there's a ignition source

However the Chlorine Gas IS Toxic and will at low levels make you violently ill it will even kill you in high levels - acid batteries need a well ventilated box / room (extractor fan)

Acid in eyes need to be treated by an EYE Wash Kit (Pure water) for 15mins then seek help

  • Comment removed

  • Where does the Chlorine come from in a battery containing Lead and Sulphuric Acid? Hydrogen may not be toxic but it is not known for its life sustaining properties it is therefore an asphyxiant.

  • wiki 'phantom load' and it says a Berkley proff. concluded it only is 10% of the average household usage, which is alot, but saying it is 75% is a stretch, how did u come up with that figure?

  • If you want save money goggle

    Phantom load

all your appliances consume 75% of your electric bill while they are switched off !!!

  • @MotaMouse A LOT exaggerated, generally 5-10 watts wasted, some wash machines are 15 +

  • Come on Hindenburg study it did not explode, for if so one half of the word would no longer be there, trust me do your research first ok!

  • it does not really matter 6 or 12 volt batteries. No matter what is chosen, you can still store equal amounts of power. I currently use 5 strings of two 12 volt batteries to provide 24 volt feed to my inverter. Higher voltage on the dc side means lower dc current to provide the same power, ergo less power loss and lighter wires, less heat on the dc side of the system.

  • Where eye protection. If you get acid in your eye flush with water then go to the emergency room. Do not put baking soda in your eye.

  • @tdougherty08 Wait what? These bats are lead acid. If you flush with water won't your eye basically melt out of your head? I mean the chemical reaction is dependent on there being water. I'm sure anyone who's had battery acid on their pants notices that there is no hole until it comes out of the wash.

  • @tdougherty08 haha imagine rubbing that crap in your eye

  • @tdougherty08 put baj=king soda in your ass

  • @tdougherty08 put baking soda in your ass

  • @tdougherty08

    Where eye protection?

    There eye protection!

    There wolf!

    There castle!

    There eye flush kit!

....why are we talking this way?

  • @tdougherty08 There eye protection.

  • check trojan t 105 golfcart batteries perfect for solar and wind power reservoir

  • Aren't deep cycle batteries (12v) the way to go? No maintenance also, no acid.

  • why aren't you using 12 volt batteries ?

  • 2 six volt batteries make one double sized 12 volt battery. 2 six volt batteries last longer.

  • what would happen if u cannect a charger from the inverter back to the batteries

  • inverters are about 80% efficient so you loose some power. U cant make something from nothing. Converting use energy.

  • Sir, I realy appricate for all your useful information, and in return I pray to his mighty power God to keep you always very very happy. Your wellwisher - Yemenifish with love and kind regards.

  • Yep. That's religion for you. We give the gift of science and its application. You return the favor by doing nothing. We appreciate your thoughts, but we don't need you to talk to your imaginary friends in order for us to be happy. A simple thank you will suffice.

  • He looks like the guy from Weekend at Bearnies!

  • @tunicanl hahaha classic

  • Hello

Can you tell me how much voltage and Amps are required for good charing of (12v battery 150A/H)

  • I bought two of them at Costco for $200 dollars after taxes. They were over priced, fuck Costcos.

  • i never saw 6 volt batteries like that before

  • me too

  • good tip to the beginner about the baking soda neutralizing the burning acid

  • are you howie mandel from "THIS IS HOWIE DO IT?"

  • i work in the forklift indestery and to you are so wrong

the wet cell battery is still going very strong

and will be around for a long time

when a forklift battery cost $3k for a wet cell and the same sealed batter cost $5k and dos not last any longer (full life span) and take 80% longer to charg it is not cost efective to go with the sealed battery

all tho i love it when they do

they stay so much cleaner then the wet cell lead acid

  • Umm.. i like your advice, and I am enjoyin learning from you. But your reference to the Hydrogen and the hindenburg zepplin is incorrect .. the hydrogen wasnt what went up in flames so brilliantly, it was the Aluminum Oxide paint they used that kept it burning .. the Hydrogen would have burnt off instantly as each section burst

  • Hydrogen was the problem with the Hindenburg. That Aluminum Oxide paint on the exterior panels is responsible for igniting the fire, but to ignore the hydrogen is plain silly. It was a giant floating fuel baloon.

  • The discussion is about solar energy and battery banks. The cautions he gives are valid. The idea of the hydrogen gas "burnign off" instantly when the battery bank is placed under your bed unvented is not comforting. Rule of thumb: Vent your battery bank by placeing it next to an exterior wall. one gent in another video used his dryer vent hole which saved him having to make a new one...

  • I imagine you'd need an inverter then a transformer...

  • Great video

  • can we use any rechargeable battery?

  • deep cycle batteries are best. Normal batteries are not meant to be completely drained and recharged constantly. (Think of your car battery, if it goes dead so many times it stops working completely)

  • yes you can but with the deep cycle batteries

you will get better life span under this kind of use

  • interesting...

do you recommend any text tutorial on how to make a battery bank with 220/230 AC out [using converters of corese]?
